Introduction

Hello everyone. I'm starting a project I've been planning to make on an engine for a long time. OHRRPGCE seems like a decent enough engine for it Grin
Anyway I will keep this WIP topic updated as progress goes on.

About TDL 1

The Dracopyre Legacy is a fantasy RPG themed game. I plan to continue the series as long as I can, hopefully improving with each game. The basis of TDL is a war of the races type game. Here is the whole storyline for #1 below.

Storyline:
Blood... Everywhere... The screams of pain and dieing of soldiers. This is war. The Vampires had been at war with the Lycans almost a century, until the Draconyns had assaulted the Vampire, and Lycan kingdoms. The Draconyns had been nearly wiped out by the Orgreux Order, a tribe of hunters who seek land and take what they want from others. The Draconyns were homeless, and angry. They decided their army was powerful enough to wipe out two kingdoms which had been at war for close to a century, they had to be weak. So they thought.
The night of the assault, Prince Vaughn of the Vampires, Was becoming more and more angry at his father, King Varum. Vaughn felt as he had to power or control over the army which he thought was brute and unintelligent. He ran into the woods. No one has seen him for 10 years. Yes.. 10 Years have passed since the beginning of this war. But more and more soldiers are going missing, and the east of Draykthul had been clouded in a suspicious fog. You are Galin. A young vampire boy who is out in East Draykthul. Picking berries to die clothing. What will your fate hold? What is this mysterious fog covering East Draykthul? And what will become of the war? The future is shrouded in mystery. But you can help shape that future...

Features

Features include:

Ability to shape the end of the game with certain decisions throughout the game.

Un-Eyeburning GFX (Good GFX)

Ability to choose your own 3 party mates out of a selection of 8

Alignment

Intense and fun to watch cut scenes.

Classes

In TDL 1 you will have the choice of 5 classes to shape your growth. These are:

Blood Caller

-A blood caller is a healer type class. It's healing can hurt anything which is not of undead origins. This class is recommended for players who have experience with TDL.

Bladeweaver

-Bladeweavers are a type of Knight. Instead of a shield this class wields 2 swords and heavy armor. It is great for bosses but can get annoying staying alive against hordes of enemies.

Runeprowler

-Runeprowlers practice Blood Rune Magic. This is a form of dark magic that differ in effects. If you choose Runeprowler you'll likely end up beating the game slower but more effectively. This class is recommended for all players.

Avenger

-An Avenger is a ninja sort of class. They use rapid attacks as well as some magic. Avengers can be expensive in buying good gear to support your level

Bowman

-Bowman class is a good idea for those who like to play games fast. Bowmen are quick and easy to fight with but if you slip up the classes'
bad defense will make things complicated.

Each are unique and will be explained in the game.

Hey,

You'll probably get more feedback when you have a demo/graphics/something to show. Also, you haven't really explained what features your game will have other than the names of hero classes.

The horror/fantasy storyline sounds a little generic , but just enough intrigue to maintain my interest.

I'd be happy to help with scripts, once you make it clear what you want to achieve.

Don't have pictures, don't have nothin'. (That's usually how it goes here) I mean, it sounds like you are off to a decent start, but anyone can come up with paper ideas pretty quickly; besides, you didn't even describe what the classes do. I think that it would help you if you could describe how each one is unique in 1-2 paragraphs (both in terms of design and possibly skills, stats). We could potentially help you tweak/come up with more ideas based on that.

The story doesn't interest me, but I have an aversion to classic-style fantasy that isn't about people.
