I have built a large city (in my game!), but at the moment it feels a little... spartan. I don't have the variety of NPC walkabouts I need, and right now my main focus is on getting everything ready for the HotOHR. I could do it myself, easy peasy, but I want to get that feeling of true individuality for my population.

So, here are my walkabout templates (male and female):

http://www.mediafire.com/?0ll3glsy6ktl4ha

They are contained in a zip file, and I want you to edit them, make them interesting/individual/anything you want, and repost them here for me to use. They will be placed in the game, and voila!, an interesting and unique person has migrated to my city.

Include names, background, and any other information you feel is required. Full credit will be given, and of course I will love you forever Gonk Any further incentives required?

-Thanks, look forward to seeing what (if anything) people come up with!

Thanks Voltire! I should have mentioned the game is modern/near future... But I will still find a use for this! Perhaps a don quixote-like figure?

For the record, I do plan to include furries but am hopeless at drawing them. I have planned to touch on the topic of racial discrimination via Furries.

On a whim I came up with two characters. Feel free to do whatever with them.

I'll call this guy Javier, but you can call him whatever. Enjoys scavenging for items to collect or sell, especially when it comes to beachcombing, though he may not actually live near a beach. Writes for a news column and is somewhat famous for his accomplishments in Track & Field. He could jump hurdles like no one else before him.
Despite numerous claims to the contrary, the fact that he looks like a bee is pure coincidence.

Mandarin, a manager/chef/waitress/whatever at some kind of eatery, be it an Irish pub or a Burger King or whatever. Occasionally seen planting flowers and trees in public areas. It looks like a hobby, but it's actually community service she's filling in for. Apparently she's been on the criminal end of a food-related incident in the past.
Loves oranges, if that ever comes up in conversation.

(I noticed you left an outline on the female NPC, but not the male. So I left one on with a non-black color in case you want to remove it.)

Thanks Baconlabs! That's exactly what I was after. I have just the place for Mandarin to work at, and she can plant flowers at the local garden during the evening.

Javier may or may not ( Angel ) give the player a random item each day.

I left the black outline off of the male to make it easier to edit, the female... I forgot :P. Thanks again!

Edit: I have added them to the game. Mandarin is cleaning tables at the café during the day, serving at the counter during the evening, at home in bed at night and planting flowers during the day. So far, I have Javier at home during the night time sorting out his collection of stuff... Haven't given him any other routines yet. Once I have made the beach area he will be positioned accordingly. Smile
The "dragon hunter" is being saved, as I don't really have anywhere to appropriate him to at the moment.

Edit 2: If possible, could any future submissions please be uploaded as 16 colour bmps? I had to spend a while messing around with palettes to get the last few to import correctly.

Isn't it obvious? He's Kainman! Kain Cosplayer by day! Masked Vigilante by night!

Kain Highwind?

Sorry, when someone uses only the first name "Kain", I just assume "Legacy of Kain".

But yes, he shall be a Kain Highwind cosplayer Kamina

Odd, because when I think of Legacy of Kain, I think Elric of Melnibone.

White haired, pale ruler of a dying race with a soul stealing sword/ whom ultimately changes the world as we know it much? :p

They never got off the ground sadly, 2 planned both never happened.
Still with all the similar characters in video games irronically people would see it as a 'done to death' type of character when in actual fact he's the original.

I'm quite surprised that I'm not the only person to know of Moorcock's work here! It's indeed a pleasant surprise.

Indeed! Perhaps we can make a decent homage further down the track.
