hello! Here is my new game I have been working on. It is not a typical RPG, you can't die or save. More of an art game, I think.

You play the role of a man with a mind which isn't working properly.

Let me know what you guys think, or if someone could review it, that would be amazing Smile

Also, just in case, there is some 2D blood/horror themes in this game, if that upsets anyone.

You should really post screenshots or anything, it's hard to download something with so little information.

Well, that was pretty disturbing. Not bad, though. It's surprising that horror can be pulled off with the engine so minimalistically now thanks to sound effects.

As JSH said, the sound is pretty key. I think the graphics are quite unique as well.

That being said, the interaction was a bit limited for me. Understanding that Tilt isn't a "game" per se, I still feel the player could be provided more choice, or at least the illusion of choice.

Perhaps more people and objects could be interactive? While I understand that Void is obviously not a denizen of the real world, so his powers to affect it are limited, maybe certain objects could cue optional sections of story, further explaining things. Or perhaps there could be optional areas in the same vein?

Criticisms aside, it's very original and I like the structure of it. An interesting game in the same vein is called Every Day the Same Dream, although it is somewhat more interactive: http://armorgames.com/play/6244/every-day-the-same-dream

On that note, I would suggest editing the menu in your game down to just the Quit/Volume commands.

I always appreciated the graphic style behind Tests of Normality, and I think this exceeds even that. The painted-on approach really works for the maps. And I echo what Willy said about adding details to the scenery.

This is definitely a journey of sound, and well made. And I like how effectively you broke down a character's psychology in the span of about ten minutes. And I agree with JSH that the whole thing was quite disturbing. I'm not really a fan of horror games, but I appreciate the effect you pulled off here. From a psychological point of view, I thought your use of colors (eyes and signs) was quite clever. For a game that didn't have much dialogue, the colors layered the missing words with much subtext, and I found it effective.

You might want to double check your wallmaps, though. I found a hole in the eastern wall on the passage back from that long shaft.

Nice job. It's probably gonna screw with my sleep tonight. Thanks.
