So, I couldn't think of a better page to put this- I apologize if the post should go elsewhere.

I recently (about 5 minutes ago, in fact!) made a song and as it was finishing through and looping, I got an error message saying something along the lines of "Your computer isn't fast enough to play this song." Sometimes it will work but the final chord of my Church Organ will carry through (which makes it pretty ugly sometimes). It either doesn't work or sounds nasty, any suggestions?

That sounds more like a bug in Anvil studio than a problem with your song. If you export the song, and play it with some other program, does it work okay?

You mean, the song (or track) should stop, but instead it keeps on going?
Like EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?
I've had this happen with lots of midis before, from Anvil Studio to midi songs in GAME.exe, I've even had it happen to me in Super Mario World! I'm beginning to wonder if this is a factor of midis I'll just have to accept.

You could always re-render your MIDI with VSTs, so you know exactly how they'll sound. I use Reaper v0.999 (freeware) and 8-bit VSTs, then output to MP3. It'll take up more space to use recorded audio, but it can sound a lot better.

Any way to loop certain parts? Like, say i have a drum beat I want repeated 4 times. Do I need to re-draw all the pieces bit by bit or is there an all-in-one selection?

You mean to repeat like a specific measure or two within a song (while the song keeps going) without re-writing the measure? I don't think so (not with the free version anyways.) The best bet there is to simply copy-paste it.

Couldn't you fake music loops with sound effects called by scripts?

Not really. You'd have to have a continuous background script, but any time that another script interrupted it and used ticks during the 'loop' point you'd have a hiccup.

This is all about trying our best to have smooth, professional sounding music on the OHR. See Bugs 469 and 846 in Bugzilla.
