After using the rope and a shirt to tie together some of the planks for extra distance the planks are placed across the chasm, and span the distance easily with only the first plank. ( Because the chasm is actually only 18ft across)

Vire carefully walks across the makeshift bridge. He makes it to the other side without any trouble at all.

Lao decides to go next, carefully using the rope as a makeshift handrail to steady his balance. He definitely does not like heights.

Despite the board bending a bit under the weight of the lizardman, Ehaism crosses just fine and arrives safely on the other side of the chasm.
Now only Ribbon, the ox and the wagon remain on the other side of the chasm.

Remembering how the wood had creaked under his own weight, Ehaism is not keen on the idea of trying to get the wagon across. Certainly leaving it behind for now would be safest, wouldn't it?

And so, the party ventured on, leaving Ribbon to guard the ox and wagon. A few minutes of travel later the cave tunnel came to an end with a large hole in the middle of a cavernous room. The hole had a 15' radius and only darkness could be seen below. There was no more cave to explore, only this deep dark hole.

Vire picks up a small stone, casts Light on it, and gives it to Liev, sending her to scout the hole.

A few seconds after Liev dives into the hole, a brilliant light shines up from below. Peering over the edge, the party can see that the hole leads to a room below. The room below contains a huge amount of gold, jewels and other various items, which are reflecting the light from the enchanted stone up and out of the hole. The floor of the room is about 80' down.

After leaping into the deep hole, Cile slams into the pile of gold below. Due to his agile nature he manages to avoid death and in fact doesn't even break a limb. Though, the pain is still immense. (19 dmg)
Cile quickly starts to make an accountant of all the items he sees in his head, before the others get down there too.
He finds:
A floor covered in gold coins. (200,042gp)
platinum coins mixed in with the gold coins. (12,042pp)
about a hundred small gems in a pile to the side. (170 gems)
3 huge gems
7 scrolls
a dagger
2 rings
3 wands
a flaming sword
a light weight chain shirt
2 rods
a book
a shield
a pair of boots
5 potions
and incense

As he's in the improper Aptitude Focus for the moment, Cile will flick out one of his 'Wands of Cure Light Wounds' and attempt to use the magic device until he gets to about full health.
And he'll cast Detect Magic for some treasure-analyzing eyes.
