Frogatto

I just ran into Frogatto, which is a pretty slick side-scroller with very nice pixel-art. The game data is closed-source, but the game engine and the built-in editor is GPL open source. I haven't had much time to play with the editor, but it looks nice. As far as I know, nobody else has made any games for the engine, but the developers seem pretty happy about helping people do that.

CTRL+E takes you into the editor-mode at any time while you are playing.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Tim-Tim game made from this. Highly SNES.
