Look forward to episode 2 I guess?

I'm doing both of those.

Another sequel I'm looking forward to. I'll try to find your secret ending tonight. I'll PM you if I do.

And I loved how you opened it up for gang wars with the King

Definitely, that was too funny.

...but after reading the Heart of Darkness thread, it looks like J is going to more than make up for this in the HotOHR contest.

Thanks! Grin I'm working REALLY hard on this one to make it as good as possible.

As a reminder;

-ANYONE can vote.
You don't even have to be a member of this forum. I just need to see your vote somehow.

-You DON'T have to vote for all of the games.
It doesn't hurt or help a game to be skipped by your voting.

I have been dealing with a family emergency for the past 10 days, so I haven't had any game playing time whatsoever. I do still really want to vote, but I might not get time to play any of the games before then :(

Finally, I got a chance to sit down and play all of them. I keep forgetting how short most of these tend to be.

SEINFELD TEACHES TYPING - 6/10
I have a personal bias for this game, yes, because I love Seinfeld and think that the concept is hilarious, even though it wasn't executed all too well. The existence of this game inspired me to spam Seinfeld pictures and monologues on 4chan for several days, and that might be a bad thing, but who knows

NIGHTMARE ON ELMO STREET - 1/10
I could imagine the AVGN playing this game.
"What? What "No-Fail" attacks? What are they, and why did Elmo scatter them everywhere and forget about them?
WHY DID MY NO-FAIL ATTACK JUST HEAL BIG BIRD

But to justify my rating, I got some serious lag which probably has something to do with the Kill-O-Meter that slowed me down to less than 5 FPS, making a slow game even slower. (Because the game ran normally on the inventory screen and battle screens)
Not fun in the slightest.

STAR WARS: EPISODE 4 something something - 5/10
I want to see this shooting implemented in another game. Like a Starfox fangame. I mean, that was the best part! Shooting asteroids and tie fighters!

WHO KILLED DINOSAUR GIANT? - 8/10
Not a game, but very enjoyable. It's a hilarious blend of Walthrosian humor, Detective Drama, and Stooge McNuggets. And the Village People, huzzah! The one thing I hate hate hate about this game is that it begs for a sequel that we'll probably never get.

BATMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN and also robin - 10/10
Haven't beaten it - in fact, I gave up before finishing a single dungeon. But I am determined to go back very soon and try again, with proper preparation. It's a great kind of challenge that I'm always in the mood for. And simply based off of the impressions I've gotten so far, I solidify my perfect 10 rating because I've already had fun, and I know there's more waiting for me.
(I may adjust this if I beat the game and have bone to pick with the ending)

I likely will do a sequel at some point, just not right away. I want to finish Village People: VG first.

Last minute voting:

Seinfeld Teaches Typing: 2/10
The core idea seems to be there, but without any sound effects or clips from the show, it really just seems like a chore. As Pepsi mentioned, a timer would really spice things up, especially if you had to try and stay in pace with sound clips from the show.

Nightmare on Elmo Street: 2/10
Unfortunately I didn't have time to finish this one, but most of what I played was really unengaging. The battles seemed to consist of holding down Enter and hoping the dice would roll in your favor. Also, the characters rarely, if ever, showed the traits they display in the show. The characters from Sesame Street have personalities that are larger than life. It completely kills it to have them act like drones. The graphics were nice and clean, however.

Star Wars - Episode IV: An OHR Hope: 5/10
The pseudo-3D on-rails shooter levels should really be expanded into a full game.

Who Killed Dinosaur Giant?: 8/10
Great voice work, great writing, enjoyable story. Unfortunately, the music and voice track weren't balanced volume-wise at various points in the game, so they covered each other up at times. Also, I think it really needed to advance the textboxes with the voice-work. Having it wait until I pressed Enter killed a lot of the timing and delivery.

Batman & Robin: 8/10
I've only completed the Mr. Freeze level, but I can already tell that I'm going to enjoy this one. I was a bit put off by the block pushing puzzles, but the battles and the game's somewhat unique take on the characters of the Batman universe have me intrigued.

Just let me know how many people voted, and the score of each game - and I'll distribute some slimebucks! Surprised

Incidentally, same point/bucks system as the Ridiculous Games Contest. Total point value of each game x number of voters. Kamina
To friends long gone, and those I've yet to meet - thank you.

So I got the bumper sticker in the mail. Definitely the worst prize I think I've ever gotten for anything. If you do this contest next year, I recommend just crediting the 5-10 bucks to someone's Paypal account. Because I didn't keep the sticker.

awww... really? lol. You didn't even keep it?

I feel bad now. Live and learn I guess. Was it the design? It was a bad design.... Too simple. I should have worked on it more. Well, sorry about that.
