Do You Want to be a Hero?
Gonna point out a few bugs before I play the other games.
1. Pig World: You can't get both the grail and the pearl on the left. Taking either one makes the other treasure box disappear.
2. Upon running out of time, I can't make the Reset/Reset w EXP/Quit menu go away.

D'oh! Thanks for the reports. I will make sure to fix them by Bugfix Deadline.

A real-time clock in an OHR game? Sounds great on paper, but it just didn't work out for me.
I'm can't adjust my schedule just to play this.

I may considering adding a reverse time feature, for people who cannot play during the waking hours of my NPCs. However, the interactive item obtainable later in the game(not included in the demo), allows the player to actually alter time in the game world. It exists for puzzle solving reasons mainly. The item fully works at the moment, it's just not obtainable(without use of my Debug menu) in the demo.

Thanks for the video Chronoboy, I hadn't even picked up on that bug, and I found the rest of the annotations helpful and interesting.
I just wish I didn't die in that playthrough, would loved to add annotations about the city, which looked breathtaking.

Chronoboy has done a great job putting together the video reviews - maybe he should be the one to work on the contest trailer? He already has a bunch of footage to work with...
I can definitely piece all the great footage from the current games in the contest together. I can then upload the DivX file for someone can dub on some awesome music and perhaps add text to the video before upload.

I already gave a mini-review of it on Castle Paradox in the dedicated thread for it. I still like the idea that money can come from jobs as much as it can come from battles. And the time system is neat, if not sometimes impractical. I tried it at 2am, and of course, all the key people were asleep. And my screen was too dark to really appreciate nighttime exploration anyway. But still, it's a neat system when used well. I had an idea for something similar a couple of years ago where you had to solve a crime in 30 days, and you could only gather certain pieces of information at certain times (in real life). I'd still like to design it someday, as I still think about it a lot. But I'm glad that someone else gave me the chance to see whether that idea would even fly.

That does sound like an interesting idea for the game. For your monitor, I would recommend stocking up on lots of torches in the game. Later in the game, there will quests specific to night-time only, such as raids on villages for the evil storyline. In fact, for those who are nighthawks, I would recommend doing the evil storyline, as most of those quests will be night-only quests. But do stock up on torches, I may even increase the time limit of the torch if some people think the torch goes out too soon.
The contest entries are looking great so far, all things considered. Time for more haikus.
EDIT: I just realized that NCW is the creator's username and the name of some kind of enemy unit in Hero. I still have no idea what it means.
Eternity Fragment
DQ made easy,
grind for lots and lots of cash.
Hold ENTER to win.
Hero
NCW;
whatever does it stand for?
Ninja Cork Weapon?
Apophenia
At first, a bit cramped,
but then the world opens up.
Tastes like freedom.
(too few syllables)
Tales of the New World II
There's a lot to learn,
but I reckon it's worth it.
Morph magic is fun!

Yes, please do. And tell Puzzle that I'd like to see that Celtic game make an appearance if it's ready by then. I'm quite interested to see how it turns out.
And my next game shall be...! Very ambitious. Hopefully I'll get it functional and done enough for the next contest. I REALLY need to learn plotscripting. Puzzle's working on her game, still (Working name:Kate and the Dragon). But she's still buggin' me about doing her graphics, too.
Some prelim reviews of the games. (Only the .zip ones. Brand-new laptop with only the Windows unzip feature. :P)
Apophenia Demon:
Graphic quality is great! Like, really great! Kinda confusing at the start, but action picks up quite well. Then... it stops cold. I had to try to beat the boss three times with a combination of holding the ENTER key and hitting READY.
Chronoboy:
Wow. Just... wow. Quite different. I'll be perfectly honest; I wasn't expecting much when I saw the intro, but the game itself was a lot better. I didn't make it very far in though, once I kept dying when I tried to leave the town and couldn't figure out how to equip the shears. I'll try to get farther after college finals.
Eternity Fragment Prelude:
Quite impressive. I played quite far in, then got lost in a maze for a half an hour, and quit. I'll play more later.
Legendary Heroes:
Didn't make it very far in this game. I LOVED the graphics style, and liked what I played, but I forgot to save and died. Restarting this game SUCKS, due to the uber-long intro.
OkeDoke:
I'll be honest: I didn't play the original. This was my first glimpse. And boy, was I impressed. It's a great game with great graphics, great puns, and reminded me a LOT of puckamon. I died trying to defeat the Power Rangers clones (that was AWESOME, by the way). Will get back to the game in coming weeks.
Tales Of the New World:
It crashed. Right at the beginning. And I'm opening it using Zenzizenzic. I haven't gotten around to trying opening it with the nightly yet.
Vikings:
I barely started. In all honesty, I've seen that intro WAY too many times, and I just didn't want to play through the beginning again. Nor could I find any of my old saves. I'll eventually get around to getting farther than Vahalla, I promise...
It crashed...??? Tales 2? Has anyone else seen this? When you say you opened with Zenzizenzic, you don't mean Ypsiliform, do you?
I'm just about ready to upload a new bugfix version that fixes lots of small issues, but if the game is crashing, then I'd like to fix that first. If you meant Ypsiliform, please let me know how a nightly treats the game. And also, I mentioned it earlier, but I'll mention it again - the script warning things where the screen is black, it says there's a script error about equipping or something like that, and you're given the choice to ignore - IGNORE THEM. The game should proceed just fine. I will take out script error reporting from the next release.

Pepsi, I'm fairly certain it would have been on time. I have had everything that I entered in the game except the demo-end text box since like 3 months ago when my computer first crashed. While the T-shirt would be nice, I'd be very content if one or two people got around to playing my game and making some suggestions to inspire me to continue working!

No, I definitely mean Zenzizenzic. I got a brand-new computer, and rather than copy OHR from another PC, I just re-downloaded Zenzizenzic and the newest nightly. I don't even use Ypsiliform anymore.
Congrats to Motrya for quickly climbing its way to highest-rated game on the site! I haven't played it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I'd be more impressed if both don't eat soap and slimes weren't rated down in the process. They both lost flashing star status.
Okay, one of us is terribly confused. The downloads page on the OHR site claims that the newest stable release is Ypsiliform+3, so what do you mean by Zenzizenzic?
On the other hand, if you also downloaded the latest nightly and it screws up as well, there is something serious going down that I am totally in the dark on. No one I've heard from has had any problems running the game on the nightlies, as instructed.
Oh and for the record, I absolutely DO plan on playing the other games, I just want to make sure I get a balanced, hopefully bugless version of Tales 2 complete first.
