I'm making a "game" that may or may not count as a fangame. If it's eligible, hooray! If not, it's going to rule anyway.

I don't understand any of the capitalized words in this post aside from It's and Aren't, feeling old as hell over here.

Super Walrus Land: Mouth Words Edition

Yeah, I'm not stopping my real game just because I'm making a fan RPG.

Looking at the Mario thread makes me want to try making a Mario fangame RPG. Story: Princess Toadstool has kidnapped Bowser! Play as the seven Koopa Kids trying to rescue the old man! Weapons are wands, enemies are toads, hills with eyes, fire flowers, and maybe even renegade koopa troopas!

If I was quicker and/or enjoyed making graphics at all, I would seriously consider doing all that. If there's anyone here who would be interested in the idea, I could help with gameplay, both in concept (plot, hero/enemy balancing, puzzles, etc) and execution (plotscripting, actually the one inputting stats etc into custom). But I don't think I can help with graphics. While I like a fair amount of my graphics in the Tales games, they all take me hours to pull off (yes, I make them all in custom).

Very productive weekend for me. Got alot of my big stuff done, and managed to make a very stylish title screen for my project.

i could probably do some. i have a bit of a recording studio set up.

Just letting you know. Charlie will not only be in the game, he will even be in the contest release. And not just as a random enemy.

I will not, however, be posting pictures of him. Some things have gotta be a surprise.

What parts are still available?

When I get near the final level, I'll send you a PM with the available characters to try out for. Don't want to ruin anything on the forum. Batman villains are very memorable, and everyone has their favorites, so I figure I'll just keep it a surprise.

Oh man that sounds exciting. I'm going to audition when the time comes.
I don't know which Batman series your game's based on, but I've got a bias for Batman: TAS and also the Clock King, in case anyone remembers the guy that beat Batman in a fist fight.
So yeah. Also the title screen reminds me of Mega Man 2.

Batman : TAS is probably my favorite cartoon of all time. However, one thing I wanted to do with this game, is not try to copy anyone's style. Everyone that handles Batman if you've noticed, does their own interpretation of him. So this world of Batman is sort of my take on it. But alot of my Batman knowledge comes from that show. Haha. You will be able to tell my influences I am sure. I appreciate everyone's excitement, it keeps me wanting to put more and more into this.

I need someone who can do the Joker (don't try and be another Joker, kinda be your own), and I need Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

Well, I don't think I'd be ideal for Joker, but I'll try out.
I assume harley and poison ivy are difficult due to the gender of the characters. I'm sure Kelley would be willing to lend a hand if need be.
