It's on the Virtual Console and the DS port should be cheap by now, so it's easy to find.
Super Walrus Land: Mouth Words Edition
I've never played the dragon warrior games for the original consoles(except 8 I guess), so it's hard to judge those, but I did love the ones i have played (DS 4/5, and 8). I doubt I could pick a single favorite game. In fact, I'm sure i couldn't, so I'll list a lot.
-The three Dragon Warriors listed above
-Final fantasies 3(the japanese remake for the DS, though it was very hard), 4( I think this was originally 2, but it's 4 for the GBA), 3 on the SNES (though I liked this one less as i replayed it, except for the no esper version was fun)
-I have to say I loved both of the Golden Suns which I didn't see anywhere on here. They seem to be in this weird middle ground where a lot of people that normally play "hard-core" RPGs haven't played, but were made for these same people. Maybe I'm just a softie. Can't wait for three!
-Chrono Trigger(obviously), and Breath of Fire II( never played 1, regrettably)
That sums up all of my favorite RPGs of that style, and includes over half of those which I have played, haha. I'm indecisive.
For other games, I liked these a lot:
-Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess (one of the only newer games I will defend against being over-rated, unlike that damn Mario Galaxy...), Link to the Past
-Mario 3, Mario Bros. Wii, Mario 64
-Super Metroid
Perhaps this isn't the right thread for a huge list, so I'll sum it up here. All of these games are amazing, but at the end of the day there isn't a single one i could play non-stop forever... With that in mind I'd have to say my favorite game (well, series- I'd still play the first if they didn't make more) would be Super Smash Bros.
You can't fix stupidity.

Woah woah woah... sorry. I nearly forgot to give a couple of favorites that slipped my mind credit.
-I don't see many people who say anything about them, but I LOVED Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, and Sacred Stones (although I'm not nearly as good as most people who have played them are, I play them on easy mode just for the re-playability and story).
-Mario and Link games I forgot about because they were on the game cube... which I have forgotten about. Windwaker was awesome (besides the triforce fishing) and Sunshine was amazing to me. Also both Paper Marios, the one for the Wii was garbage...
Sorry again about the double post, but I couldn't sit by and leave those games out. I never would have slept tonight. I also just found the edit button...

All the American Fire Emblems(I have not played any Japan only ones, I probaly would love them too) I currently have a lone memory card with my save data from the first time I beat Path to Radiance. I hold onto it in hopes of coming accross Radiant Dawn.(again)
Zelda Ocarina of Time. My absolute all time favorite. I remember being 3 or 4 and playing it at my aunts, I remember my parents took me to some house and they had a N64 their and Zelda. I have bought this game countless times just to replay it.
Golden Sun, and Golden Sun The Lost Age. I practically died when they announce it for the DS at E3 last year.
Pokemon. Need I say more?
They all have great story, great gameplay, and remind me why I started playing games.(and why I'm such a Nintendo Fan)

FOR THE RECORD:
Hmm, I don't know if I can buy the 250% claim, but it sounds cool. Maybe I'll try to find it eventually.
super star is awesome. definitely my favorite kirby game, next to crystal shards (kirby with darth mauls lightsaber? SWEET!). i still replay it to this day. i might do that now.
final fantasy 5 and final fantasy tactics are two of my favorite games. they may not have the best stories, but there are sooo many ways to customize your characters. this makes difficulty range from saddeningly easy, to insanely hard.
oh, and any of the zelda games, i guess. i've played every one except for the two horrible ones that shall remain nameless.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?
