The boss is pretty ridiculous (but still easier than his version in the original). The most foolproof way of defeating him involves collecting one or two Fire Magics as the Wizard. This is of course as luck-based as anything else. I also like the Warrior and Knight for their permanent buffs. Everyone else is going to have a really tough time with him.
41 minutes is probably better than my best. I'll have to check. I have screenshots for I think three different classes (Ranger, Wizard, Warrior?).
Oracle and Thief really needed to be buffed, although playing as Thief is an interesting experience, since you can avoid all non-combat damage.
48 hours is not enough to balance a game. Oh well
