Just watched it. Overall it was a really good week, I liked watching the different challenges. I didn't like any of the Kyle/Julia/Neke stuff (except the kiss, which was a funny moment) because all three of the characters were annoying and juvenile to me. The scenes with the final three were good though, and those are the most important parts anyway. The fight scene was great, especially when the squirrel suddenly popped up.

I agree that this was probably the best week so far.

Wow, I am diggin' the love you guys are showing for this episode.

And now that I'm thinking about ideas for Week 8, you should be happy the love triangle is all over, because the plan for Week 8 is for it to be pretty much ALL ACTION. And ya know, the usual awful jokes.

You guys are always guaranteed at least one cheesy Powerstick Man joke too. Ha.

I've decided to up the deadline for votes, due to getting alot of votes alot sooner than usual. I'm going to start work on Week 8 on Monday (5/4). So if you want your votes to count, then be sure and get them to me BEFORE then.

Hey, RMZ and Surlaw! You both have experienced crashes with OHR House Heroes, right?

Could you test again with the latest nightly builds? TMC just checked in a fix to the script interpreter that almost certainly resolves these problems.

RMZ uses an old version of the OHR to make games with, which is likely responsible for some of the crashes.

But this bug that TeeEmCee just fixed has actually been around all the way back to the werewaffle release, maybe even longer.

I work on Heroes through ubersetzung, whenever that was. I really hate the way the map editors are in the newer ones, I've complained before, but nobody thought they were big enough concerns to merit anything.

And the crash is completely random. I wouldn't know how to simulate it on command, seeing as how the entire time I've been doing Heroes, it's happened twice to me at different times.

Really? I can't remember. What were your complaints? I don't recall any huge map editor-related changes from ubersetzung to later versions expect for the addition of layers, and those are optional.

I think I brought this up a few times before, but the Help Menu in the Map-Editor knocking all of the F# Quick-keys one to the right was a bit disorienting at first. V

For like 8 years, I've placed NPCs the same way. Arrow Key and Spacebar at the same time. Now it's the Control key and arrow key at the same time. You guys claimed it was an accident as to what my complaint was. It's really frustrating. Layers are in ubersetzung, so the main complaint was for the NPC thing. I'm slowly getting used to it by having to use it in my other games, it's just taking a while, and I do prefer the spacebar method I've done for many years.

Arrow key and spacebar? Has that ever worked? I can't think of how it would. I've always known it to be control and arrow, since like 2000.

Yes it has. Like I said, that's the way I've done it since the ohr was made. If you were able to get an older version of the engine you could see it.

Oh! Okay. I remember now.

Yes the fact that arrow+space worked at all was an accident. It was supposed to be ctrl+arrow all along, but my code was messy, so it worked that way. I broke that "feature" when I was cleaning up the code.

I'll take another look at it and see if I can get it working the old way.

RMZ: in ubersetzung, if you press and hold space without any arrow keys, what happens? Does it place an NPC who just stays there, or does it rapidly place and remove an NPC?

EDIT: A couple other things I need to know before I can reproduce this:

1) How do you normally press the keys? Do you press arrow and space simultaneously and release them simultaneously? Do you hold space and then press an arrow? do you hold an arrow and then tap space?

2) If you hold down space and tap an arrow, the cursor does not move, right?

3) If you hold down space and then hold an arrow for several seconds, does the cursor move?

4) If you hold down an arrow, moving rapidly across the map, and tap space, does the cursor movement stop? If so, how long does it stop? (assuming you do not release the arrow)

EDITEDIT: I dug up an old copy of ubersetzung and answered all those questions myself, but I would still like to know how you press the keys. Fome my own observations I am guessing you probably hit space and arrows simultaneously, and release them simultaneously, and after the NPC is placed, the cursor moves, right?

EDITEDITEDIT: I forced an early nightly build, give it a try. It should be a reasonably accurate reproduction of the ubersetzung space+arrow-key behavior.

Also, I'm sorry about the map-mode function keys all getting bumped. I am having a hard time getting used to that one myself. I used to be able to switch modes by touch, but now I have to stop and look every time :(

But I do think that change is important. F1=Help is a standard for almost all apps (try it now in your web browser!), and I want to stick with it.

Week 8 is finally here! Just in time to make it for the Epic Marathon contest too I think. Haha.

This is the most crucial week of all them to vote. You have until June 1st to cast your votes. This is to find out who is the OHR HOUSE HERO!

-I liked the argument about how ridiculous Triangle/Surlaw's designs are.
-All the new maptiles are solid. Digital world looks great.
-Wasn't a fan of the "Slither is gay" jokes.
-Was a fan of Walrus Man liking Powerstick Man's sense of humor. I liked him more in this episode.
-The NPC animations keep getting better, the fights look great.
-I like Mu's robot designs.
-Slime King is good, loved that Whip It was his theme.
-Typo in Masked Man speech, "one of you has to steop Vlad"
