Today:
Some brainstorming, but nothing really done. I had to spend most of today working out problems with college. Also, I can't stay up late because of plans tomorrow. Which is a shame, 'cause I get most of my work done really late in the day, it seems.

Other than that, I don't really have an excuse today. Gonk

Today:
Finalized the plot. After creating the Power Bombs and balancing the shot types, I'll have to draw or sprite how all these characters will look.

Today:
Created the shot balancing test environment. Some data has been collected, though balance changes will have to be tweaked throughout the level and boss creation process. I also fixed some bugs with the shot types. This will also help test and balance Power Bombs as I make them.

Thursday was pretty much a day off, because of family events and I had to wake up early the next day. I did a small amount of tweaking to the shot types, such as replacing some hardcoded coordinates with lengthdir_() functions.

Finished preliminary balancing and bugfixing. I'll move onto the next step now.

Grr... I completely forgot about it today! No excuse, just distraction after distraction. I'm a horrible developer, even when cash prizes are involved. Sad

Today:
Completed half of the Power Bombs. Again, I love adding attacks. Grin
I predict the rest of them will be more complicated, though.

Well, you can't spell Power Bombs without "ower bo"

Everyone likes the big shiny attacks, though.

Did some more Power Bombs, so now I have 75% of them ready. I was right about the complexity.

Today:
Finished the bombs. Later, they'll need better graphics and sounds.

So, all that's left is the most major stuff, which I can probably tackle in any order. They are:

Create sprites for the heroes and bosses
Create levels and danmaku patterns
Write dialogue (more complex than you think; I want to say different things depending on the Threat Level)

I predict that by the deadline, my demo will have only one character playable and UP TO 2 levels out of 6 planned, with probably one difficulty level. Even though the programming is there, I don't want any placeholder content in the "finished" product.

Nah, it looks pretty nice.

Is it me, or does this game have a mild Touhou influence?

Why, that's impossible. My game has male characters and adults in it. V
