I dunno what it is...

But I got my 8th gym badge and I'm immensely dissatisfied with the fact that I can't find a 6th party member to go with my team. I was thinking of swapping out my Houndoom for Magmortar, but they have alot of the same stat growths, and Houndoom has Dark powers on it's side.

I dunno. This is my Platinum party. Do any of you guys have any suggestions? It's a pain in the ass to take on the Elite Four with just five Pokemon so I'd want to train a final dude/dudette for this.

This is my party, everyone's at level 50 or higher.

Staraptor. Best bird in the series.

I haven't given this, you know, serious thought or anything, but I liked Staraptor.

This is the lamest reason for not wanting to use it. But that Intimidate ability just takes forever to go through, and it'd be annoying as hell to train it. That is the only reason I have never trained one. It looks pretty bad ass and I think it learns some great moves.

He's right, dude. Go back to page 5 or 6 (i think) and read about how an underlevelled Staraptor totally saved my ass when I took on the Elite Four.
It is a pretty damn cool guy. You'll just have to be patient with the Intimidate message (because seriously, it's a really useful ability against physical types).

The battles are faster, the wild encounter charts are different, they added at least one new level up move to -every- pokemon's repertoire, there are move tutors who take payment in the form of those colored shards, the GTS will email you when someone has traded with you, the battle frontier is back, and the sinnoh dex has been expanded (MORE FIRE TYPES).

That's not even half of what they added.

My sources inform me that Nintendo is remaking Gold/Silver. It's like printing money!

In fairness, I think G/S was the generation I enjoyed most.

Silver has always been my favorite Poke-mans evar.

Though crystal was kinda cool as well.
Luigi is almost as sexy as me!

So, who's had a chance to try out the Battle Frontier?
This is a lot of fun and I can understand why people sunk so much time into Emerald now. The Battle Tower in D/P was cool but not entirely compelling (except that I wanted to beat Palmer twice as a matter of principle) but the Frontier is varied and interesting. I dig it a lot.

So far, my favorite is the Battle Arcade due to it letting you screw up your opponent with the game board, and my least favorite is the Battle Factory because RENTALS Gonk

i actually enjoyed the factory. was one of my favorite parts of the whole game. the random pokemon swapping made it challenging and interesting at the same time. prolly why i enjoyed it the most.

KUH-KUH-KUH YEAH!!

Put me down on the list of people who are getting one of the G/S remakes. I plan on getting the Gold version, hoping that they localize the "Heart" part out or change it or something. Gonk
