well i was refering to the fact that there is a random pokemon thread and theres soo many posts in it. well anyways, thanks for the welcoming. i may be trolling around here a bit, the arena seems pretty neat though pretty short-lived for people starting out.

I hear that it's possible to get Rotom pre-National Dex now though so maybe I'll just do that.

Yeah, every new Gen 4 guy's supposed to be in Platinum's Sinnoh Dex. Fantana gave me a bit of trouble back in Diamond, I think Torterra's Bite is pulled it through for me (it might've been the only fight I boxed Alakazam for, though I might've kept him on in case any Gen 1 ghosts showed).

My Golbat has bite, and he's a champ, but he got burned before getting to Mismagius

I've been giving myself "mystery eggs" from Diamond (aka Eggs I had in the PC and forget what they are) and one of them was a Sneasel I named SNIKT. Snikt didn't fare so well either, even with Faint Attack

I haven't had any real trouble with any of the gyms. I don't think I acquired my Houndour until after that gym, so I'm fairly sure it was Gabite that did the big damage with it's bite attack.

Overall, the game is very easy. All of my Pokemon are Lv. 50, and I'm still searching for a 6th party member.

Golbat evolved and managed to take out everyone with bite. I also caught Rotom but ended up not using him

Does anyone know what item you're supposed to give Giratina so it doesn't lose it's origin form? I caught it, didn't save because I didn't want the D/P version of it, but how the hell do I do this? I know it's possible to get it to stay.

Apparently, there's a portal to the Distortion World in the last room of Turnback Cave, where Giratina was in D/P. This portal leads to a single room that holds the Griseous Orb, which will force the switch on him. From what I've read, Cynthia blocks the entrance to the cave until after you get the National Dex.
