Pokémon Megathread - Don't Matter If You're Black Or White

I haven't replayed Diamond/Pearl so the world feels pretty new all over again. One of the funnest parts about Pokemon in my opinion, is trying to play the game over and over and make different parties.

This go around, I chose Piplup. I've put in 11.5 hours already, haha, and I've got Empoleon Lv.36, Houndoom Lv. 34, Gabite Lv. 34, and Venusaur Lv. 34.

Never really had to deal with traded Pokemon not obeying as bad as in this game. Which is great that it gives you some incintive to seek out the gyms.

Anyone have ideas for my last 2 party members?

A Psychic could be good if Galactic grunts carry as many Zubats and Croagunks as in D/P. I would say fighting, but Venusaur and Empoleon seem to have you covered on Rock, and Houndoom on Steel, Ice.

Yeah so it's looking like UPS lost my package and now I have to do the legwork and call Amazon to make THEM contact UPS so that UPS will actually look for the thing. That's two copies of Platinum shipped on Friday that mysteriously vanished, plus the extra $20 or so I paid for next day shipping.

I ordered it because I didn't know the 22nd was a Sunday and that I'd get it on release, which I would have, had the release not been... a sunday.

The CSR I spoke too was a bit of a bidoof, 20 minutes after she told me my package was lost, it arrived.

Well, that could've been worse, it could've been the reverse.
I don't have the money for Platinum
A friend of mine pre-ordered it, but he won't have anything to play it on until the DSi comes out next month. Two weeks of useless plastic.

I need to figure out a way I can trade with you guys. I've managed to get my old DS that was broken on the hinge to be my trader, so I can trade from my Diamond to Platinum.

However, there still is the matter of the Cyndaquil I want. And if you have any other Johto generation starters I'd be appreciative. I can breed you all of the starters except them (and Turtwig, actually, a Turtwig would be rad too).

And I decided to train Gallade, because it's pretty bad ass. Ha. Now just need to fill the 6th slot.

Eh, I'll just have to find a wifi hotspot on a day off or something. We'll just have to work out a time.
But don't worry about what to trade for it, I already have everything. Unless you have a few different natures of Ditto, just fodders'll do.

Let me know a day you'll have off, and I can go hit up the StarBucks or McDonalds, or wherever I can pick up Wifi. I've only gotten 1 Ditto, so don't know how much that'll help you...

All three Johto starters easily. If the one Ditto's all you have, don't worry about it.
The next day off I'll have (was supposed to be today until I got called in) will be Sunday at the soonest, but I won't see the schedule till Friday or Saturday. I think I work mornings the next few days, so maybe afternoon could work.

Cool. I work 8-5 everyday, so afternoons/evenings work perfect for me. I just have to find a place that offers reliable Wifi to do this. Give me til Tuesday of next week to find a good place that's close by. I'm pretty sure the Starbucks by my house has it, but I want to confirm before I ask ya to be somewhere to trade.

Also, would you be up for a 5 vs. 5 battle? I still have my Diamond team pretty tough, but I haven't gotten my Porygon Z up to speed just yet, that's why I said 5 instead of 6. If you are, my team is at a balanced 90.

You are aware that Wifi battles can be adjusted to 100/50 right?

I think my highest guy's in the 80s, so it'd prolly be an adjusted battle, but yeah, I could be up for it. And if it turns out to be a day I work mornings, there's a coffee shop not too far from my work that has wifi, so we can make this happen (it'll take more thinking to know where wifi is near my house, since i've never had to leave it for wifi before).

I actually found the place today, and confirmed the free Wifi. So whenever you're free, I can swing by. I bring my DS with me for my lunch break, so I can do this on the way home from work whenever (except Mondays).

Well, I get off at three tomorrow, so I'll prolly find some place closer to home and let the bus ride kill some time. What's your FC? Mine's 0946 2460 0855.
