OK, so get this.

There's also going to be a Regigigas giveaway in March, from the 8th to the 21st. Regigigas is DEFINITELY something most people have, but here's the thing:

So in D/P, you could get Regigigas if you had Regice, Regirock, and Registeel in your party at Snowpoint.

In Platinum, you can get Regice, Regirock, and Registeel, IF you have a certain Regigigas. In Japan this was an event Regigigas. Here, it will be THIS Regigigas.


Yes, it's as stupid as it sounds.

A free Pokemon is a free Pokemon. I won't complain. Even though it was a royal pain in the ass catching all the Regi's in the first place just to get Regigigas. For whatever reason, everything is 10x tougher to catch in Pokemon Emerald.

Catching the Regi Trio in Gen 3 is flat-out retarded. I'm frankly glad that you can get them again in Platinum, I can plan for good Natures and use this Regigigas to get what I want. When I played Sapphire I didn't know anything about anything competitively so I just grabbed em with Master Balls.

Hey duders, today was the first day to get Shaymin at participating Toys 'R' Us stores. It's going on from today (the 8th) to the 14th, which is next Saturday. The process is pretty simple; go to TRU, start Diamond/Pearl, choose 'Mystery Gift', and then 'Via Wireless'. It will then download Shaymin for you.

If you have 3 Wonder Cards you'll need to delete one to get Shaymin.

I'm resetting now for a good nature. Word on the street is that Modest/Timid are best.

So here is a funtime moveset you can use that I modified from a Smogon one (removed the hidden powers for the sake of no IV poopsocking):

6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Seed Flare
- Psychic/Air Slash
- Earth Power
- Grass Knot

The frustrating part about this moveset is that I have to wait till Platinum to put it into practice... because you need Sky Forme to learn Air Slash and Earth Power is a Tutor move.

Just FYI guys, they're giving Regigigas away till the 21st at participating TRU stores. I just got mine today.

Wow, this is growing to be uber lame. It took forever to get all of the damn Regi's in the R/S/E. They should offer something that is a huge pain to get or is at least really tough to get. Like the legendary dogs ( I refuse to play FR/LG over and and over to get all of these), or the Johto starters. Cause I'd love to get a Cyndaquil (Typhlosion was my fav starter, ha.).

Well... now you're just teasing me. Ha!

But how did you get it?

I filled out my Pokedex through the GameFAQs boards. Our router only recently went to WPA (DS only recognizes WEP protection).

Just got Platinum. Haven't played it yet, but as a heads up to anyone buying it. If you have Pokemon Emerald, take it to Game Stop, I got 19 dollars for mine, and I think I paid 20 for it. Actually, any GBA Pokemon game will score you big bucks. Just as a heads up.

I preordered Platinum on Amazon, which means that UPS will come while I'm at work and leave a note ( ) so I won't be able to play until monday night.
