OHR SSBB Wifi Tournament: Early Birds *HACHI WINS*

Next weekend, we, the Smash players of the OHR Community, shall begin a tournament of (hopeful) epic proportions. I'll already played matches against RMZ, Fenrir and Hawk, and I can tell you right now: there's some good competition out there. I know that not everyone who wants the game will have a chance to play it by next weekend, but this shouldn't be the final opportunity for a tournament, so no sweat.

The tournament will begin Friday afternoon. Doesn't sound good for you? No problem! Let me describe how this is going to work.

Since we all have different schedules, it's impossible to set up a two-hour tournament. Thus, I think I've come up with a structure everyone will be happy with: We'll have matches whenever we are ready, even if we have to wait for a few days to finish the tournament.

Step 1: Reply to this post with your information in order to "sign up" for the tournament. All sign-ups will be finalized on Friday, so you basically have until the whole thing begins.
Step 2: The tournament organizer (that's me) will set up the matches and post who's facing who in Round 1.
Step 3: Confirm what time will be manageable with your opponent directly (PM, AIM, IRC...) I recommend that the entrants hang around in my Espernet channel, #jsh, just so we have a central location.
Step 4: When that time comes, face your opponent and report who won (both players must confirm who won for fairness' sake) in the tournament thread.
Step 5: When all of the round's matches are done, the organizer will set up Round 2. Whenever you are ready, you may face your next opponent.
Step 6: The tournament ends when only one person is left. He wins pride, and possibly a custom title, but take that up with Moogle1.

Organizational rules
- Tournament matchups will be randomized after each round (ie after each matchup has taken place) to prevent monotony.
- Wins are determined by confirmation from both players.
- Players who have lost are free to Brawl amongst themselves or get a job, have sex, etc
- Entrants will submit their name and Brawl Friend Code in advance. If you like, you can also declare the character you plan to play as, but it's unnecessary.

Gameplay rules
- All matchups will be 1v1, best of 3. (ie, you have to win two matches against someone).
- Stages should be random or agreed upon between players.
- All characters, stages and items are allowed.
- Items set to "Low" or agreed upon between the two players.
- Matches will be 5 stock. It has to be the same across the board, just to keep things fair.
- No handicaps or other funny business

I will prolly be using Lucario. But at this point, I'm not entirely sure, I guess since it's not neccessary to request your character, I won't bother setting that in stone, as I might find someone else to play as. I won't be free for the tournament til like... Friday night, heh.

I haven't found a character I'm completely set on yet, but I'll join in. I haven't had a whole lot of luck connecting online with this game for some reason, hopefully it's a server issue that's resolved soon.
