Ocnfession: half of the time I see a new post in this thread, I think Twinhamster posted and I get overly excited.

I'd posted about it quite a few months back, when I was still plotting story details, but a bit has changed since then, going from a RTS-like background to more of a mission-based RPG. It still has the nanobot idea, but is expanded upon by adding the idea of 'So, what if conspiracies were real?'
Oh hey, look! It appears to be some sort of puzzle game.
Only one floor so far. The little boxes in the right corner are where the items appear for your convenience. So far, just a pickaxe for breaking blocks you can't push.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?

(don't worry, guys; this time I got the exactly right amount of excited)

I've done a few things that aren't battle graphics, too.
Okay, nothing much to see here. Just a recolor of some grass tiles I did last year. I thought it'd be interesting to have something autumn-colored along with the spring-colored, you know?
Some trees, in both autumn and spring colors. At some point I would like to animate the trees to have the leaves swaying in the breeze.
Tree corpses.
A rocky cliff.
Finally, some generic NPC walkabouts. They're nice, but they look a little too [i]Final Fantasy[/]-y to me. I was trying to ape the style of the SNES-era games, but I might alter these a bit more.
I'm actually not working on a real game right now, I'm just making sprites for practice. But if I get a good idea for a story, I might actually put these sprites to use.
