New-gen, those screenshots are amazing. The best choices of color I've seen ever. Uncommon's right that there's the possibility of rule bending, but for the most part your game looks practically 16-bit due to the expert crafting.

If not in this release, perhaps a later expansion?
Anyway, I've made another promotional video, this one relevant to the contest:

That game looks really cool Rurouni Catholic! Can't wait to play it. As well as yours Twinconclusive.
I just want to ask. Ive used all my 16 colors in my textbox boarders, is that a problem? Cause I can't find it anywhere that we can't do that. But if somebody knows exactly what the rule is on this argument then please let me know asap! I want to release my entry sometime tonight.

- Each contestant will be able to make their own custom 16-color palette.
- You may use four max colors per map tile
- You may use three max colors per walkabout, hero and enemy sprites, attacks, and weapon graphics
- You may use 16 max colors per battle/cutscene/title backdrop
- All of these colors must come from your single 16-color palette. Failure to do so will likely get you disqualified.

From the contest thread. The idea is you have a total of 16 colors in the entire game, not just at a time. Apparently, you can use 16 colors on your textbox borders (in a battle/cutscene/title backdrop), but you can't be using any other colors on the screen and they have to come from your palette you made for the entire game.
In the entiety (don't know if I spelt that correctly...) of my game I've only used the 16 colors from my palette.
So I am to presume that it is okay to have 16 colors in your textbox borders over a map or cut scene or battle background if those colors come from your 16 color palette and there are no more other colors (more than your 16 color palette) on the map?

I'm pretty sure I saw Sub giving the OK to not need a limit for text box borders.
