The physics in that game was great. The ball really felt like it was rolling, only partially under your control. I don't know how they did it. Sometimes the physics of the old NES games can really surprise you (remember how Mega Man steadily accelerated while falling in that Quick Man stage?). But as for Marble Madness, I enjoyed it heartily as well, but there is no denying that it could be a very frustrating game at times. There were definitely places where you just had to be lucky on the timing of those push-peg things.
What are people's thoughts on the Final Smashes? I'm not sure how I feel about the idea. One thing about them that sounds really cool is the moment that the smash ball appears, and everyone immediately stops what they are doing and goes for it, kind of like when a heart appears in the current games. Battles for items are often more interesting than the items themselves in my opinion.

I think the Smash Balls will add a lot to the game. Every character's is incredibly different from the other; I think it will be great. And even though they're all invincible during it, some of them are pretty tough to control if ya recall. Super Sonic is crazy tough apparently.

That's... the point. He's copying Snake.

Holy slime! Two days into the week, and the Smash Bros site is dishing out some great stuff. Hell, overalls Wario and Super Sonic. And the Sonic theme for one of his levels sounds amazing. I hope they get him his own level. I mean they gave Snake one, I think Sonic deserves one too. Heh. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yes, I know.
I was saying he looks like a miniature, balding Snake, which makes sense as it is Kirby's copy persona modeled after Snake, but regardless, he looks like a miniature, balding Snake.
Today's update is a new character, Captain Olimar from Pikmin. I really didn't expect another character update so close to the Japanese launch, so this is a pretty awesome surprise.

I read somewhere that a lot of the clone characters won't make it for this game. And supposedly, from like 5-6 websites saying they found out in a jap magazine that Bowser Jr., Ridley, and Wind Waker Link will all be in the game.
And apparently Captain Falcon will still make it in the game. For whatever reason they've kept him under wraps though.

This rumor was proven false in 2005 and it still won't die. I wouldn't be surprised to see these characters in the game, but there was never any interview or magazine saying that they were, it was all made up.

None of the characters who were hidden characters in the last two games (Luigi, Jigglypuff, Ness, Falcon) have been announced, so it's safe to assume that they're going to be hidden characters again.
