Discussion, rules, and battle listing/results for the Gemini Tournament.

Rules:
There are 15 battles in Round 1 of the tournament. Each of our five contestants is a participant in 12 of those 15 battles.

Round 1's battles are comprised of two teams of two. There are ten different teams, and each team participates in three battles.

Prizes will be awarded to any team that wins all three of its battles. In addition, any qualifying team will compete in a 2v3 bonus battle against all other opponents to receive the grand prize of the Gemini Tournament. Additionally, the top 3 individual players who win the most battles will receive separate prizes for excellence in combat.

In the case that there is a tie for the top individual players, 1v1 tiebreaker matches will be issued.

In the case that no team wins all three matches and there are no tiebreaker matches, Round 2 will be cancelled and the tournament will be called at the end of Round 1.

Good luck to all competitors!!

Oh crapity crap-crap! I CAN'T believe I just did that!

I am going to have to pay really close attention to what I am doing. The fact that I am making screw ups like that this early in the tournament does not bode well for me or anybody paired with me :(

Updated the standings. Let me know if I messed anything up.

I would have put good money on the Surlaw/Twinconclusive pair. There has been some crazy luck rolling around -- ridiculous amounts of crits and fumbles.

I gotta say... the vengeance sword was a really bad choice. Sorry to point out what I'm sure you've noticed, but all but one of the loses so far have been your team.

Except when teamed with me. Your welcome.

EDIT: battle 5 nvm

I figured that I should've had enough Health to soak up damage while I prepared some bricks to toss, or something.
But even when I should've used Purge AGI a couple times, I decided just to go for a Sludgehammer or a Head Trauma instead. V

I am trying too hard to defend this thing Sad

I guess can't handle the power just yet.

I'm just waiting for battle 15 to end so me and Surlaw can get prizes.
while hoping my tenacity and go-get-'em attitude (with liberal doses of luck) will help me make it happen in the rest of 'em. 6 and 13 especially, since Surlaw/Spoonweaver's the only other team that hasn't been eliminated from the running, and it'd be hella awkward for Surlaw to have to fight himself (c-can that happen even? i've never tried it!).

EDIT: Tried it, there is error-checking on duplicated players. So how will this play out if both Rock & Roll Sentai/Surlaw and Surlaw/Spoonweaver when their three battles? You know, just in case I lose, which I have no intention of doing.
