Is there another way to escape from battle in windows version? Ir a way to make it a menu item?
Holding ESC doesn't work for me.

You can make escape attacks:
From the Edit Attacks -> Bitsets... -> Force Victory (ends the battle by letting heroes win)
From the Edit Attacks -> Bitsets... -> Force Battle Exit (ends battle)
From the Edit Attacks -> Bitsets... -> Cause heros to run away (heroes flee)
I'd like to see a 'cause enemies to run away' option added.
There's something in the wik on escape-attacks: http://rpg.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce ... ing_Attack
For the menu item I think it goes like this:
go to Edit Heros -> Battle Menues ... -> Change one of the items to be an Attack, by changing it to Kind:Specific Attack and then choose your run away attack.
Edit: Where did the text go?

Yes, marionline's answer is correct if you are making your own game and want to add a run away menu option
but if you are trying to just play someone elses game and your "ESC" key is broken, then no, there is not a built-in alternative button for that, but you can use the "On-Screen Keyboard"
On Windows 7 it is located in Start->All Programs->Accessories->Ease Of Access->On-Screen Keyboard
I am not sure where it is located on other versions of windows.
