Vanessa sighs, knowing that she has to join the others eventually. It's annoying that she must follow them at all but she didn't go through all this trouble to give up now. Reluctantly, Vanessa joins the others, keeping to herself and watching them with mild annoyance. At this rate, she'll be here for a century. Not wishing to be bothered by the group's problems, she finds a suitable place to stand making sure that she keeps an eye on everything.

After making a half-hearted attempt to clean the blood off her fishhook and twine, Catt stows them away and wanders back towards the entrance to the passage where she notices that the two cloaked persons have removed their hoods.

Seeing that they both appear to be women, she calls out;

"Hello! Hey there! You guys aren't guys after all!"

"I'm Catt, what are your names?"

She offers her hand to shake Vanessa's hand

Kamaron snaps out of his reverie and reports, "The snake hasn't moved much still. The rat also seems to be stuck in the same place."

He looks down into the pit, wondering.

"Looks like the snakes aren't moving much, and it also looks like the plan to capture a few is a bust. Perhaps though... perhaps we can force them to move around, if only to allow us to get a better look at the area. However... Where has that Renold gone to? Did he try opening that door?"

Worried, Kamaron heads into the demon room, hoping that Renold hasn't done something stupid and gotten himself killed.

When Catt abandons her attempts to fish out a snake, he looks down over Karamon with his arms crossed, "We'll need to catch one by force should we do so. I can chance summoning a creature to rile the snakes into moving."

When he goes to regroup, he acknowledges another newcomer that had appeared, "Well met, but I wish it were in better circumstance and place. Have you seen where Renald set off to?"

Wilstra looked relieved when Venessa joined the others. Johnny fixed his hair a bit at the appearance of the new party members.

Elsewhere, Renold stood in front of the door leading to the runed hallway. He was looking over the area carefully. As Karamon arrived, Renold gave a nod. "I will try to reach the end of this hallway," he said.

Slickens grows bored with the snake-baiting and looks for something more useful to do. If he can see Karamon and Renold, he'll follow them. If not, he keeps looking. Gotta keep going forward. Which way is forward?

Vanessa stood unmoving as the others greeted her. She merely nodded, a look of boredom smoothing her features. "Vanessa" she answered simply to the woman closest to her--Catt, she said her name was. "Why are you attempting to catch snakes?" Vanessa called to the other person.

"Oh, we were going to use them for... well, probably setting off traps. Maybe for eating too. It is a moot point, because those snakes are filthy ungrateful bastards who don't want to die."

"So, Vanessa, Wilstra, either of you ladies have any tricks up your sleeves that will help us figure out which door to go through without getting ourselves killed?"

Catt points out the mist-filled door and the demon-face-mouth-portal.

Slickens joined Karamon and Renold as Renold was explaining his decision.

"I believe this is designed to pester, not kill," Renold said. "This whole tomb seems to be designed like some sort of deadly game. I intend to win." Renold took out three potions then. He belted two in a ready position and kept the other in his off hand. "If anyone has anything that could assist me, let me know. I will be opening this door soon."

Wilstra meanwhile summons a pair of song birds and sends one it into the devil mouth and one into the mist archway. Moments later, "I believe something has killed my summoned Southern Scrub-Jay. That portal does not seem safe." Wilstra pointed at the devil face as she said this. Then, pointing at the archway she said, "This portal seems to be safe. My northern mockingbird remains unharmed."

"It's pestering!" Slickens agrees, giving the door a final once-over for traps. "Hells with winning! Let's tip the board over! Throw the pieces into a lake!" Nobody had played a board game at the monastery in eleven years.

Kamaron overhears the one woman's prodding with her birds and snarks, "We've already established that. What we're trying to learn is where those passages go."

He then says to Slickens, "I agree. There's no chance that we'll win by the rules of this place, we'll have a much better chance making our own rules and winning our way."

He steps out of Renold's way, and tells him, "Be my guest. I'll keep watch from here, just make sure you turn back at the first sign of danger."

"You want me to go with, Reny?" Catt asks, getting ready to go with Renold no matter what he says

She double checks to see if her air-walk has worn off yet

"If you do have any ideas," he says to Vanessa, "We should discuss it with the others." Horace will move on after Slickens to find Karamon and the rest that are with him in hopes of getting updated on their whereabouts and findings.

Vanessa stood unmoving and silent as she watched the others. She didn't have anything that could help with the snakes and she wasn't entirely sure what the point was. When someone mentioned wanting to learn where one of the passages led, Vanessa spoke up.

"Only way to discover where something leads is to explore it." It was something someone once dear to her told her once.

Wilstra took Vanessa's words as a sort of order. She nodded at the misty archway.

Renold took another potion from his backpack and gave it to Catt, "That's the last one I have after these three. I hope I don't have to use them all." Renold braced himself as he opened the door. He quickly opened it and moved again on to the next. The first door closed behind Renold and Catt.

Wilstra walked through the misty archway, vanishing. The glowing three stones around the archway randomly flashed as Wilstra vanished. Wilstra immediately appeared just outside of the main tunnel, looking down the hallway covered in mosaics. Wilstra gave off a loud "Eek!" alerting Vanessa, Horace, and the others of her location. It was instantly clear that she was teleported back to the enter of the tomb with none of her gear, not even her clothes.
