As the title suggests, I made a song. I finally got a decent program to work, and hopefully I'll be able to start writing the music to my games now. I even made a soundcloud account to put them on
Let me know what you think. Or not, it's up to you.
I like it! I think the deep tones and the overlying melody both are pretty good and fit together, although they seem to have different paces. (I'm definitely not suggesting that they're mismatched, as I know nothing about music.) Of course, it's very short, which is the main criticism :)
Yeah, I might add to it or I might just have it loop as an overworld track or something. If I were to make it longer, I'd probably just add a key change to give it a bit more to listen to. Thanks for the input though!
Surprising as it may be, I used Garageband to make it. They finally added a score editor so you can make sheet music out of it. It's not as efficient as Finale or something like that but its instruments are really good.
I think it's good except that I found the foreground/highest pitch track a bit annoying, especially the instrument used. But I'm not too fond of that 'chirpy' style anyway, so...
Matokage, I loved Atmo Bass and TechNoLogic! Very professional. I liked the IsoBattle tune, but the way it's balanced (equalizer levels?) somehow made it painful to listen to for me. Isometric Theme as well.
Hmm... good to know TMC, Actually these tunes are bineural and so that might have made it painful for you. I will tune it batter for the actual game. Also Atmo Bass was just a test record with Guitar Rig 5 and I Didn't it to go to waste.
Oh, really? I don't get any sense of direction or space while listening to either of them (I'm using headphones), except maybe very slightly in the latter half of Isometric Theme. It seems like the different instruments don't have different virtual positions.
