Tammytharn starts to think of a retort for that petty Kalar, but as soon as he walks away, she ignores him and focuses on Thistlewhistle.
She isn't learning anything about his condition. He simply seems to be in a deep sleep. Perhaps he will wake up on his own when he is ready?
Tammytharn asks Lynda for one of the scarfs to fold as a pillow under Thistlewhistle's tiny, tiny head

Well, the scarf she wasn't using couldn't hurt. Besides, she'd rather not get on another persons bad side. Despite not agreeing with Tammytharn's...brash, outspoken mannerisms, Lynda didn't want to make any enemies with any more of her party members. The last party member she peeved nearly tore her throat out with a knife...
"Sure." Lynda says, handing over her unused scarf.
She goes back to observing Kalar's bold attempt at crossing the tile room.

Rachelle, still ignorant of what's going on in the rooms behind her, goes and investigates one of the doors. If possible, she tries to open up one of the tiny doors, keeping a shield between it and her as best she can.
Damn, it was cold. It wouldn't be so bad if she was actually prepared for cold temperatures, though. Maybe she should ask Lynda for one of her scarves...

Kalar successfully runs along the wall without stepping on any of the tiles and lands on the other side safely. No danger comes.
Tammytharn watches over Thistlewhistle as he sleeps. His sleep seems to be very deep as any attempt to wake him fails completely. Meanwhile, in the dream, Thistlewhistle's home has it's wall smashed in by a large bull made of clovers. He panics with his decision over whether to burnt he artifact or freeze it. He runs out of his house while still deciding.
Rachelle opens one of the small doors. This small door 3ft by 3ft swing back to reveal a 3' x 3' niche extending back into the wall for 6'. The recessed space is empty. Rachelle notices that a few of the doors have small marks on them. The one she just opened was unmarked.
Lynda looked at her scarves. She almost missed Kalar's wall running completely while looking at her scarves. Galse stood silently outside the lab. He wasn't sure why everyone else was so reckless, He looked over their food supplies, making sure they'd have enough food for all this recklessness.

Kalar looks around, checking his surroundings. He sends Dave on ahead to light the way. He has no intention of following the skeleton, but he does want to know what lies further down the passageway before returning to the main room.

Rachelle sees that the markings seem like nothing more than chalk scratches. They might be letters in a language she doesn't understand but Rachelle doubts it. She also finds a full sized door towards the end of the hallway. She leaves the cold corridor and joins the others.
Kalar sees the door on this side of the room letter tiled room is slightly open, despite not having even noticed the door was there before. He looked in with Dave leading the way. Kalar saw four dungeon cells. The back and side walls of each cell are made of stone. The front wall is a grid of iron bars. In one cell you see long-haired man holding a paint brush and a bucket of paint. He is huddled in the corner of the room, staring rapturously at a highly realistic painting of the moon on the back wall of his cell. In another cell you see a large man with the head of a bull. The other two cells appear to be empty. Another door stands across the room.

Kalar orders Dave to stay put, and then runs back along the walls to the group. He retrieves his tower shield and backpack from Lynda and says,
"Right, there are four cells back that way. Two people all in all, one's a painter of some sort. The other is a large fellow with a bull's head."
Kalar looks back to the grid pattern.
"Lynda, dear, I believe it's safe to cross. Seeing as how nothing attacked Dave when he crossed the tiles, I'm fairly certain the ground will not give way should we walk over it. I am, however, concerned about the walls. You can take the large shield I lent to Thistlewhistle and hold it to your right while you cross, and I can use my tower shield held to my left. We'd both then take the paths closest to the walls, that way, we'll both be able to shield the other should anything erupt out of the walls."
He doesn't want to take the risk for himself, but those two might have some sort of information. Seeing as how they're inside cells, they will probably be of little danger. Still, Kalar would like at least another person nearby should things go badly, and he can't see any other way of getting a person across.
Of course, he could lend his tower shield to Rachelle and have her walk along the walls, but he feels he needs to make another calculated risk to show Tammytharn that he's doing the best for the group while putting himself in as much danger. He hates having to do so, but for now he feels it's necessary. He can always revert to more intelligent and far safer actions later on, once she's been lulled into a semblance of complacency.
He turns back to Lynda and says, "Well, what say you? Of course, we could always backtrack, but I really want to hear what those people have to offer. If they've been imprisoned here, then they may have taken some sort of actions against the family here, and they may be able to help us."

Kalar gets ready and holds his tower shield at ready. He orders Dave to keep watch for any hostiles.
Without anything else to do, Kalar starts along the tiles (GOHEN) and directs Lynda to take the opposite wall (NEHOG), hoping that he's correct about there being no traps. Or at the very least, that whatever traps there may be are survivable.

As they cross, the letters behind Kalar and Lynda glow. When they reach the otherside, the glowing letters float up into the air. The GOHEN letters all merge in a slightingly gaseous ball. The NEHOG letters do the same. Then, the quickly both become tiny gaseous devils and fly at Kalar and Lynda. Ignoring their defenses, the gaseous devils entered both KAlar and Lynda.
Kalar bursts into flames. His clothes and hair are on fire and it hurts very badly. Lynda didn't notice anything different had happened to her, until she tryed to speak and found she couldn't.
The letters on the tiles Kalar and Lynda both crossed are gone now.
Kalar takes 4 dmg and is on fire.

Trying not to panic, Kalar holds up his holy symbol and creates water around himself to douse the flames, hoping that the few gallons created will be enough. Once the flames are out, he'll cure himself of moderate wounds and then ask Lynda if she's hurt.

"Lynda? Speak up, woman, what happened to you?"
Kalar assumes that nothing happened to her, as all prior information confirms Silas' hypothesis about immunity to magic.
