Lynda gathered herself while in the ethereal plane. Her frozen wound was rapidly getting worse and she wasn't sure what she could do about it. She could tell that if she let the ice coming from her wound keep spreading, it would consume her.
Stumpy's magic horseshoes were bringing Rob and Rachelle back to battle as fast as they could. Rob figured they were about halfway back to the battle at this point. They could see a bright light coming from the battleground.
Kalar began to summon up a monster. As it appeared, Kalar could tell it was more than he asked for. Dressed in dark leather and wielding a flaming halberd, the bearded devil seemed to be of a higher station than the ones Kalar had read about.
Harvey creeped over towards Jehan's last know position. Jehan wasn't there. Harvey couldn't see him anywhere.

"What? Ah, blast it..."
Kalar stops his advance, knowing that this could potentially be more dangerous.
Silently though, he communicates telepathically with the bearded demon:
"Mighty one, I seek your aid. I request you find and strike at that assassin who attempted to strike at me and mine. He must be made to pay for his deeds."
After doing that, Kalar holds up his holy symbol and presses it to Lynda, hoping that this will be enough. Should it fail though, he will next attempt to dispel the magic.
Kalar can communicate telepathically with all allied/similarly aligned outsiders.
Spell Used: Panacea
Removes: blinded, confused, dazed, dazzled, deafened, diseased, exhausted, fatigued, frightened, nauseated, panicked, paralyzed, shaken, sickened, and stunned. Also negates sleep effects, neutralizes poison, and heals 1d8+9 points of damage.
If not effective, next round will cast Dispel Magic.

"Not good, not good! Is he runnin' or setting me up? Damnit all, he's tricky! He oughta be leaving a trail of blood or something.. Damnit, Jehan! You're not going to see tomorrow!"
If there is a trail of blood, I'll try to stay quiet and hidden and follow it. And if there's not, I'll stay quiet and hidden as best as I can and circle back towards the others to use them as bait again.. and maybe introduce myself before that wizard blows my slime up!
EDIT: On second thought, if I see a trail of blood and Harvey has reason to believe he's still there, I'd try to shoot and then run away rather than blindly following it into a potential trap.

Kalar's attempt at stopping the spread of icy death plaguing Lynda proved futile as the summon bearded devil blinked away. Harvey meanwhile, heard a crunch to his left.the bearded devil was being stabbed by Jehan. It poofed away, having done little to nothing to Jehan. Kalar and Lynda both remained unaware of Jehan's hiding spot, but Harvey could see him. Harvey watched as Jehan plucked a pearl from a necklace and ready himself to throw it at Lynda and Kalar from the safety of his nook in the side of a rock formation. It was clear to HArvey that Jehan had not noticed him.
Rob and Rachelle raced on, in hopes to aid in the battle! They grew ever closer and knew they would soon arrive.

Kalar curses that the spell did not work. Now he'll have to use valuable time attempting another one. He holds his holy symbol to Lynda and attempts to dispel whatever magic is there.
Spell Used: Dispel Magic
Can Jehan actually target Kalar and Lynda though? They're bubbled in a 60 ft. radius globe of magical darkness. Granted, with a fireball, he wouldn't really need to aim dead-center.

Gorgeous... gorgeous! Those rocks are going to look so much better with a little bit of red on 'em... or maybe a lot of red! Where would a guy like Jehan keep his red? Harvey aims carefully for that precious stronghold and lets loose another arrow to share Jehan's true colors with the world.
If Jehan survives, Bilchik will reward his bait for a good job, yelling out to the spooky guy and the classy lady: "Get down! The bandit's throwin' something! He's over here!" before trying to give Jehan the slip in the trees again.
And if Jehan doesn't survive, Harvey shoots him a couple of times to be sure. Eyes, heart, groin. The usual insurance policies.
Greater Psionic Shot eating my Psionic Focus again, hopefully Sneak Attack again too.
Aren't there ways to see through those magical darkness effects too? Also, why don't we have any of them?

Rob begins to sing Song of Inspire Greatnessbb just loud enough for Rachelle to hear. He raises his Rob's standard, so the song will activate its power also.
As soon as he drops off Rachelle, he will sing loudly, both to keep the magic of the song in her earshot, and to draw attention to himself. He and Stumpy will then take evasive action

The arrow went through Jehan's neck. Jehan stumbled to one knee. As he turned towards Harvey, his eyes looked empty and cold. A grin crept across Jehan's face.
"Get down! The bandit's throwin' something! He's over here!"
As quick as lightning, Jehan drew a metal flask from his hip, sheathing his dagger and putting the necklace pearl back in the process. Kalar and Lynda turned in time to watch Jehan drinking a potion that seemed to be healing him quite a lot. The two arrows Harvey had painstakingly shot into Jehan were pushed out. Jehan seemed to be close to perfect health after he was done with the potion.
Rob and Rachelle came bursting through some bushes onto the scene riding in on Stumpy. They saw Jehan right in front of them, finishing off a potion and a large burst of light coming from behind some rock formation. It seems the battle had moved slightly towards them Rob and Rachelle quickly began to ready themselves for battle. Rachelle dismounting and Rob taking riding towards a better position.
Lynda and Kalar meanwhile lamented at another failure as the ice continued to creep slowly outwards from Lynda's wound.
Harvey deals 51 dmg

"Blast, that didn't work. Lynda, go grab the amulet, maybe it can halt this thing. I have an assassin that needs dealing with."
Kalar holds up his holy symbol, channeling divine energy into it. He releases it towards Jehan, focusing all his anger into it.
Spell used: Wrack (Book of Vile Darkness)
DC 21 Fort negates

"What happens to me now?" Lynda thinks. "Is this how I'll perish? Will the ice kill me...or worse? Will I become petrified, like a statue? Will Levistus take me hostage? Everyone's charging in to battle...I think Rachelle has the amulet, but she's a bit pre-occupied..."
"I know what I must do. I can't let that blasted knife hurt my allies..."
Lynda, in corporeal form, will fly up, and fly towards Jehan. She'll attempt to destroy his weapon, using Dissipating Touch to damage him/the weapon as necessary.

Rachelle leaps from Stumpy and smashes into Jehan with her empowered staff. Jehan had no defense against such an attack. The staff cracked through his shoulder, removing his ability to use his left arm. Rachelle had wished it was his right arm as he readied his wicked dagger.
Then Lynda rushed in. Her rash attack allowed Jehan to slip his dagger deep into her chest. Lynda felt her life leaving her as she gripped the dagger.
-Pop-
It was an unearthly sound, like some magic spell cast by an archmage. It left the whole party's ears ringing. The dagger was gone, as was Jehan's hand. Blood gushed from the wound. Jehan bent over, defeated. That's when Kalar's spell took effect.
Lynda was hurt. She now had a new wound, this one too had ice slowly growing around it. Jehan flopped around in agony near her. The mighty Jehan was defeated.
Lynda took 13 dmg and 31 ice dmg (44 total)
Rachelle deals 1 neg level and 24 dmg

Kalar lands and hides his holy symbol, suppressing the darkness. He walks over to Jehan and holds his hand over him. He channels divine energy into his hand, focusing on Jehan. Then with a burst of energy, he releases the energy into the assassin's heart.
When that's done, he drops the heart to the ground and steps on it.
He then walks over to the others and says:
"Excellent work. Lynda, let me see what I can do for you."
Kalar will use his glove, pouring as much healing power as he can into her. As he is healing her, he continues, "We may as well set up camp here. We have injured, and I still want to question this assassin in the morning."
Kalar then looks around, wondering. "I'm fairly certain he was hit by arrows, but Lynda is our only archer. Was there someone else here?"
Spell used: Clutch of Orcus
