I was also sure it was drawn with two arms and was going to suggest you make them more distinct. Changing the shapes of the metal plates of both 'upper arms' should fix that.

Also, time to get cracking on my game; haven't touched it in a week.

Well this video was originally meant to show off a coding error but it has just been resolved. Seeing as how I put in all the effort of making this video anyways, I think it should also be shared to show my latest progress.

Note: The textboxes seen in this video are purely filler and just meant to guide the writer. A lot of stuff in this video is bound to change. The character animation is looking pretty decent but is a bit choppy in places so I may refine the timing a bit more or add in more slides...

All I've been able to do is churn out boss sprites for my game. I'm also trying to come up with areas, and ways of connecting them.

reminds me of the immortal from Lost Odyssey in the haunted house level, where she's eeeeeevillllllllll until you beat the snot out of her and then oh hey she's normal again. I think it's the cloak.

@^ She's not inherently evil, she's just lost. She appears on a snowy mountain. She's completely naked save for that cloak.

You can see the frostbite in her lips and feet if you look closely.

Exactly the sort of thing that attracts Big Bad Wolves?

Nice!
Work on your game weekend! Even more motivation... :D
Mhm, I took me a while to figure out what 'Murica Day could be ... ;)
Do some of you celebrate?

I hope to be able to draw even more pictures/graphics today. I started dawing some housestiles as well as working on this picture.

I'd like to ask for opinions:
1. Any idea how to make her look more angry/annoyed?
2. Is there anything odd with the face/light/shadows?

Thanks! :)

I celebrated 'Murica day by eating French Fries for breakfast, and watching Independence Day on DVD with the Spanish language voice track.

That looks good!

1) You could make a small wrinkle or two at the brow, near the eyes and the eyebrows. I know when I am angry/annoyed, that area tends to scrunch up.

2) Is the white area on the nose a bandage, or a highlight? If it is a bandage, it looks great, but if it is a highlight, then it is either too bright, OR you need to add some other highlights of similar brightness

I think you could also add some darker shadows inside and underneath the ear, and maybe underneath the hairline in the back

Overall, I like it. It has good realistic proportions. Good work!

I just started my current game project on June 20th, but so far I have a really good idea of where I want it to go so I'm feeling pretty optimistic. If I end up finishing it, it'll be the first game I'll have ever finished or even shared publicly (and I first used OHRRPGCE back in 1998!)

Here's a world map layout I worked on for the past week, based on a crude sketch I did on a notepad.

Also my first attempt at a walktall hero sprite set... I'm awfully rusty at spriting, but I think with some practice I'll be decent at it again.

@Bob: Thanks! :)
I tried to follow your advice. I darkend the white spot, added more bright white and tried to add wrinkles.
Now she looks a bit more angry, I think.

Edit: Forget to mention, I used a makehuman-model for the face, so it's not like that i suddenly learned how to draw realistic faces.

Also I worked a bit more on maptiles.
It's somehow frustrating, if you have images in your head that do not mix well with the perspective of maptiles... but on the otherhand i'm making a game not a movie, so it should be fine.

@Foxley: I like the clothes the wolf wears. Also the world map lookes interesing. I wonder why only in the middle there are people living?
