Although I didn't compete in this contest, I do want to voice that I think rewarding bonus points for games that haven't been reviewed before and that are being requested for review by their author is a great idea.
Really, I have zero motivation to even review a game if I know or feel nobody will read the content of the review. But if a game's being requested, and I'm getting bonus points for writing a review that I know will be read and listened to, then my motivation goes way up and not only will the review itself be higher quality, but you could expect more of them.
Both of those rules will help distribute reviews to where they're needed most, too, so it's a victory on multiple fronts.

Guys got to give me a heads up or i miss these threads!
Comic reviews are fine, not much to do there. Can't wait till people start doing game reviews with games.
Optional list was cool.
3 and 4 are the same thing: good games will get reviews with or without a contest. Not much to do here. It's like how do you force people to not burn out when making these games.
Book club scheduling would be interesting, as it would force more of a discussion and put less weight on any one reviewer, encourage anyone and everyone to jump in.

He never reviewed any of the games, it was satire or paying homage or whatever was going on there. Right? Maybe I forgot.
At any rate, I'm calling you out, Barnabus! You fool coward. You and me, mano a mano, one on one. I'd take you down so hard people would cry to have me gone, as it would be akin to cold blooded murder. Game making wise.
Also, the book club thing, (besides the name giving me this imagery of old ladies sipping wine and eating small pastries,) if it happens then my prediction: it turns into everybody verse the author of the current game being discussed. Or the game's author(s) defending against criticism. Not saying that's bad, am a fine connoisseur of such things, but you guys know it would happen. Look at this year's. Better name would be The Tribunal.

It does sound cool... buy why is it called weekly? The Weekly Tribunal (or something similar) actually sounds cool.
I like the idea of making review-games even more than making comics, but the effort might be more difficult than the result is acctually worth.
By the way, when will the next review contest be held?
Review-games?! Sounds fun!

I do mean to write a proper reply, but I'm heading to bed. I replied in Spoon's thread about the weekly game/book club.
I plan to archive backups of all the comic reviews that were posted. Actually there's lots of images posted on here and CP that would be worth backing up. Maybe it would be a good idea to run a crawler.
