Beautifully written, very sad. The end of that one shocked me, and I am not sure yet how to interpret it in the context of the rest of the story.

Hello, Writer's Thread, I have missed you!

Last week I finished the first draft of a Novella. I am interested in collecting some feedback before I proceed to revise it.

It is a little over 18000 words, and should be possible to read in under 2 hours.

Would anybody here be willing to read it and give me constructive criticism?

EDIT: Oh, I guess I should also clarify the genre.... and I don't know what to call the genre. It is a Drama, I guess. Set in 1995, and mostly about personal conflicts between a woman and her father. Contains no fantasy or supernatural elements, and zero exploding robot monsters.

on the serious side, doesn't sound like something I can get behind, sorry.

Haha! No worries. I understand this story will not be everybody's cup of tea.

When I *do* write a story about an exploding robot doing battle with a swarm of sentient space-cowbells, I'll send that one your way :)
