D&D anyone?

Talk about things that are not making games here. But you should also make games!

Oh, weird. I didn't realize there was a distinction. Do you want the Dunderstank thread moved, then?

Yea, only chapter 1 though. No need to make our failed attempt at a continuation public.

Was wondering if people are still interested in doing another play-by-post D&D game, or if Mogri is still interested in running a new game.

I could give DMing a play-by-post a shot I suppose, I do have some of my old campaigns lying about (High RP, Low magic, Low gold, Long dungeons, original setting) if people are game to give it another go. I'm mostly doing 3.5 (d20 SRD actually) with some home-brew monsters and stuff.

I've been playing Pool of Radiance and helping a friend with his designing of his own P&P RPG, so that's gotten me even more interested in D&D than ever.

I can only do d20 SRD since, well, that's all I have. Do players often use d20 SRD for their games on MapTool for playing real time? Even if not (for like Pathfinder and such), is it easy enough to adjust without the proper handbook?

Hehe, d20 SRD is also all I have. Ridiculously enough, I have a DMG but no PHB. I wouldn't use MapTools though, as it seems consensus is against real time. When I do use it though, I use d20 SRD, with some extra home-brew odds and ends thrown in.

Ah, righto. For MapTool, from what I've seen, people use rather different rules. I've seen Shadowrun, d20 srd, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, Pathfinder, and CoC. The engine for MapTool is rather flexible, it can cope with just about any system provided you've either got a framework or have good enough scripting skills.

Resources were not a problem for even complete beginners last time we played.

Things like this
http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page
provide all the info one needs.

Indeedy, this page too http://www.d20srd.org/ I find easier to use than the D&D wiki when only looking for d20 srd specifics.

I've started a new thread on the roleplaying forum here on slimesalad. Anyone that is currently part of the roleplaying usergroup please go make a post on the new thread there asap.

If you'd like to play D&D with us, let me know so I can add you to the user group.

BMR's campaign has four players so far, and there's room for more.

We've got a ranger, a druid, a sorcerer, and I'm not sure what mogri is running yet. Anyone else?

I've never played on a forum before, but I might be interested. I'd probably roll some kind of fighter if it wouldn't step on our ranger's toes. Since when do we have usergroups?

As a halfling, I have to worry about my entire body being stepped on.
