Terraria Multiplayer

So, when do you guys want to get a game started? I'm gonna mess around with the single player game right now, but I'm for playing multiplayer later on if you guys want to give it a try. I'll sign onto IRC in a bit to confirm.

Sew's running a server at 216.198.173.203 and he says anyone who wants to join is welcome. I've been having some trouble staying connected, but I think that's probably just my slimy internet.

I spawned at night, and in my haste to get away from the zombies I ran into that lava trap. Doing better now though! I'm surprised at how much you guys got done in just a day's time.

So, looks like some crazy stuff is about to drop in the world of Terraria. For those who haven't been keeping up, the developers are planning on releasing version 1.2.4 soon, and today they posted a teaser of a major new addition. What's 1.2.4 going to do? Increase the disgusting difficulty of hard mode again? I feel like it's lucky my friend and I BARELY managed to defeat planterra just before the 1.2.3 patch which apparently made it try to run away if all players are dead and despawn instead of relentlessly hunting players down. >_>
Normal mode is fun, though.

The developers announced that Version 1.3 is coming June 30th (they didn't specify year, which seems to be a running joke on the dedicated forum for some reason). Shall we discuss the possibility of returning to this crazy world of Terraria sometime in July?

So, Terraria 1.3 came out yesterday. Do you guys want to wait a couple of weeks for all the hotfixes to go through (and do your own single player exploration in the meantime like I am)? Or do you want to jump right into a new game this weekend?

They've updated how multiplayer servers work. We still have to run the client if we want to run our own game (or something to that effect), but apparently there's a Steam-integrated multiplayer network now, so that may or may not be an option. What do you guys think?
