No offence to Jay, but I think voltire might be a better choice for backup graphics. I'd like to see what kinda enemy sprites he would be able to come up with.
Blip.

That WOULD free J up for music. So maybe that would work out better.

Ok, with 3 votes Blue Train becomes the official Head Artist of this project.
Hopefully we can see some mock ups on the graphics soon.

On how? Like how to compose? Ok, maybe we'll find someone else to do the music.
If you mean how to upload it, there are hundreds of websites that you can throw any type of file onto, just find one and put your thing up there.

The 3 assistant artists are set now.

And J_taylor, I'd like you to official be in charge stats/items/attacks/etc. This is actually a huge job, and really makes or breaks the game. But if you're not up for it, please let me know.

Now all that is up in the air is Music. I'd say J had the job but I've yet to hear a single sample J

No, by "how?" I meant "HOW DO I UPLOAD A SAMPLE???" There's no "upload" button on castleparadox that i can see. ANYWHERE!

i already wrote a potential title screen piece, and I'd LOVE to upload it, but I can't find the #%& button. It's not even in the FAQ.

Just click and drag and wait for the upload, then scroll your mouse a bit to the share button, click it and copy one of those lovely url's they give you here.

you got me thinking and i uploaded it to youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caOlhtUmaLY

it's supposed to loop, but it's not an amazing loop. i figure that won't be a crying issue as it'd only be for the title screen if chosen.

OK, I think we've got the jobs done. Everyone is doing something and everything that needs to be done has someone working on it.
I think This phase is Complete.

The next phase is getting everyone to start working on everything.
I think the biggest issue with this phase is what each of the assistant artists will be doing.
If you would, Blue Train, please assign certain jobs to them, such as 1 person doing walkabouts, 1 person doing maptiles, and so on. As the head artist it's up to you to decide.

Ok, so for the plot. As I've said, The story opens with a couple hold up in their home, trying to survive a (the) zombie apocalypse. The water finally gets cut off though, leaving them with no choice but to venture forth.
I'm imagining a run down street they have to walk down, with not a lot of choices as to where to go because of wreckage. There can be off shoots of the main path where secret items are located and what not, but one general path is kind of what I'm thinking of. An example of something that would be fine happening would be: At one point the path forks though, giving the player an option to go left and an option to go right. Right ends up having harder fights but has an item in the middle of it, where as the right path is just more of the same.

Anyways, this would be the first area, ending in a boss zombie fight. In the story scheme of things it doesn't really matter what this boss zombie is, so feel free to draw whatever. I do think it should have a walkabout (not just a battle sprite) and I want it to jump out at the player, from behind something.

After this fight, the player reaches the first town. The town makes a fuss about letting them in and makes them go through a special room to clean them off and check for zombie bites and such. Once in, they're informed that they can't stay because the town has no water and they need the water they have for the people already living there. A plan is hatched to go and find out what has stopped the water and to fix the problem. The couple, with little choice in the matter decide to go, and are accompanied by a member of the army that manages the town.

Then they venture forth, following the pipes, toward the water treatment plant. There they fight through a bunch of zombies to find the cause of the water blockage, a giant zombie squid. They defeat the zombie squid and just as they're questioning the presence of a squid so far in land, a strange cloak person rushes in and disables the army guy. Then he bites, the girl and swats away the boy's attempts to stop him. The screen goes black. When it returns the Army guy is standing over the boy who is just waking up and the girl is no where to be found.

I can shell out some non-human sprites. I am terrible with humans (Non magi, that is) and dogs. I could possibly do the Squid boss, and perhaps some mini-squids and such for the sewers.

I'm loving the story so far Spoon, but what I really wanted to say is I'm ready to start spriting whatever, Blue, so when you're ready just tell me what I'm working on.
