Poison/Regen registers

Post by Willy Elektrix »

Via chaining in my game I have an attack that adds poison the player and regen to the monster. I have the damage to set to non-randomizing so that the player and monster should have an equal amount of damage on their poison/regen registers.

However, when the register actually causes damage these amount vary. For instance, the player might have a poison register of 20 but only take 18 damage.

Is the damage caused by a poison or a regen register randomized on each period of damage output? If not, what might be causing these fluctuations? It isn't really a big deal, but I'm curious.

There's a slight random factor on the tick damage, yes.

I never even thought of this. It would be nice to have the option to disable randomness in the damage caused by poison and regen states.
