FFT Tournament 2 Round 1A: Hachi v. Mogri
Battleground: Church outside the town
Kicking off the tournament with a real heel-dragger! Get ready for a long one. I'm kinda half-whispering on account of sleeping roommates on the other side of the wall, so sorry if it's a little mumbley.

Yeah, it gets pretty dull after the first one.

Framerate is a function of your emulation, not your recording. Try changing around your video settings to the fastest possible, then try max frameskip (in ePSXe, press F7 then F4). Ordinarily, I wouldn't recommend it, but in your case, it might not make that much of a difference.
Five parts. Yikes.
(edit) Oh man, I feel like I should apologize for my team or something. In hindsight, Don't Move, Stop, and Paralyze was overkill. I wish the AI were smart enough to know when the enemy is properly disabled and just move in for the kill already. Halfway through the battle, I'm pretty sure the Calculator could beat the enemies to death with her bag.

Any unit that equips clothes and hats should be able to block all three. Hachi just happened to picked four units who couldn't use hats.Mogri wrote: In hindsight, Don't Move, Stop, and Paralyze was overkill.

Proposed changes, though:
Dancer: 3->4
Mime: 4->5
Calc 5->6; Spells under 500 JP, one spell per magic type (White, Black, Time, Yin-Yang)

Unless he's using Fraps, where the framerate can be set by the recording. But yeah, this needs a way better framerate.Mogri wrote:Framerate is a function of your emulation, not your recording. Edit: also it kinda hurts to think about how long a video of my team vs. Moog's team would be...

Am I the only one who noticed subliminal messaging in the second video, at 8:40? For just a split second big red words flash, and some careful pausing and fiddling back and forth later reveals a textfile with the title "Writing This "Slime" "? A secret message that the fight was staged? Truely, this could be the "Paul Is Dead" of our times :O
All at once, actually.Mogri's team style sends chills up my spine. It's like he gutted out their innards out with a plastic spork, one by one.

I did a few rounds of testing on this scenario. One of two things happens: Either I get gunned down quickly or the combo takes and the girls spend most of their turns doing damage because you block Stop, DA, and DM. I think this is an extreme case, where Hachi doesn't block any of these.Edit: also it kinda hurts to think about how long a video of my team vs. Moog's team would be...
Oh, for some reason it gave a flash of my desktop. I don't know why. "writing this slime" is actually my WGMD script file.Gizmog wrote:Am I the only one who noticed subliminal messaging in the second video, at 8:40?
