FFT Tournament 1A: Momoka vs. Uncommon

Talk about things that are not making games here. But you should also make games!

FFT Tournament 1A: Momoka vs. Uncommon

Post by Mogri »

Battleground: Goland Coal City

This is the second time I've recorded this battle. This time, characters were set to Lv.35, allowing the AI to use the full range of abilities. The original recording was about five times as long and went the other way.

Aw, I knew i should've made sure praise and preach were left out of James' talk skills. Geez, they went down about as fast as I thought they would, I'm surprised to hear they won the first one (how'd they pull that off?)

Wizard couldn't use Draw Out, Priest couldn't use Item. They blew through their MP super quickly and were useless. Iris kept them busy with Charm and James did most of the legwork. It was pretty impressive, really.

That was kind of a SPLAT. What a stupid Ninja, Praising itself instead of sliming that dude to death.

And GBA... are you serious? Can I smack you upside the head now?

Never mention FFTA and this game in the same sentence again. (That should be a forum-wide rule)

This is the PSX version. The PSP version is mostly the same as long as you only care about the generics, but there are two new classes and some slight gameplay differences.

You forgot the part where the lag is so horrendous it's impossible to enjoy the game. :(

Yay! Go team!

Do brackets for the tournament exist?

Not as such... Whoever wins round 1 goes onto round 2, and so forth. The pairings will be random for the entire tournament.

So you could say there are brackets, but they're being generated as we go.

Emulator. How else would the screen capture work?

Besides which, configuring everyone's units by Gameshark would be a complete pain.

Disclaimer: I do still own my own copy of the Final Fantasy Tactics PSX game disc as well as a working PSX unit that I should really get rid of.

FFT has a fairly large fan following that does tons of crazy challenges. It's amazing that it's lasted so long, but it has.
