gba is my hobo of a friend. I play D&D with him. I apologize for setting him loose on the community.

Because Runescape is awful. I played it forever ago, then got sick of it when my mom played it almost non-stop for six months.
It's basically the reason I hate MMORPGs.

Past tense. She's back to Spider Solitaire these days (i assume, at least). Those six months ended because we moved to a place where the internet wasn't so available for a while, but I can't remember if it ended there or if she eventually picked it back up. But I know she'd kicked the habit by the time I moved out, but I guess her getting a job kind of helped that.
But she actually had a <i>paid</i> Runescape account. We were on the verge of an intervention.

mmorpg's are an addicting habit. they can ruin friendships, lose people jobs, and generally ruin lives. while in the midst of a particularly bad spree of usage, or "raiding" as it may be called, one's very health can be at risk. One finds that they starting spending all of their money on this habit, and become unable to hold a job thus adding to their financial problems. The "users" become a burden to everyone around them.

Why does it always have to be crack? I think heroin'd be the better analogy. More addictive and has worse withdrawal symptoms.
