I got a 360 and need to play violent games with people. Specifically Gears 2 and Castle Crashers. And need friends to make me appear popular.

For games I've got GTAIV, Fable 2, and Call of Duty 4. For arcade games I've got Gauntlet, Street Fighter II, and TMNT 1989. Sometime in the future I'm going to pick up Duke Nukem 3D.

I'm on the fence about getting Gears 2, mainly because I'm short on cash. How much better is it than the original?

Also, who else is getting Left 4 Dead?

Gears 2 is way, way better then Gears 1. Well, ok, it's very similar, but it's worth it simply because Horde mode is the funnest I've had online in years.
