Time past, the party started to get really bored. They weren't tired, as it had only been about an hour since they rested. They would have to wait about 20 more hours for the clerics to be regranted their spells.
Gontort got up. "Well if you want to stay here forever, be my guest. I'm going to head over to that ladder Rachelle spoke about and see if those giants are still there." With that Gontort gets up and walks off towards the magic tile room.

"Do try not to get killed, Gontort. I would rather we didn't lose you."
He turns to Hrulgin and says, "If you would be so kind as to shadow him, please. Don't let him see you, but just keep an eye on him. If he gets into trouble, rush back here and inform us so that we can pull him out of danger if the need arises. Thanks."

Lynda sits, and glances awkwardly around at her party. None of them were tired, but they felt the need to cease activities after that battle. Lynda didn't disagree, as with her condition, she'd like to be at her best capacity before exploring. However, she didn't anticipate the boredom that came with waiting.
She draws a long sigh.
"Well, seeing as we have a moment to spare and we're all gathered, I'll bring up these." She says. She places her human statues, dog statue, and dragonfly statue on a table.
"I've been collecting these small figurines that I've scattered about. I don't know what their purpose is, or if all of them are magical. Tammytharn informed me that the dragonfly is magical, so I wonder if the other ones I gathered are magical as well. If so, are there more of these statuettes, and do they have a purpose?"
"I'm probably just overthinking this, but I want to see how you all weigh in on this. Besides, it's way to quiet in here, so I wanted to break the silence."

Kalar presents the life-sized figurine of a rooster.
"Here, you can have this. Charles did say though, that it wasn't magical. Here, let me have a look at those."
Kalar holds up his holy symbol and focuses his abilities on them, checking whether or not there's any sort of magic in any of the figurines.

Kalar finds that the dog and the dragonfly are indeed both magical. Both give off a faint glow of evocation.
Gontort and Hrulgin dissappear from sight.

"All done. Lynda, my dear, that dog and the dragonfly are both magical. Everything else is just jewelry though. I'm sorry. Still, they will be worth something should we ever get out of here, so you may want to hang on to them."

Tammytharn sits uncomfortably. She feels ashamed for calling this room a "safe" room, having so quickly forgotten about ther other companions being stolen away from it in her sleep. The relative calm of the previous day of sitting with snoring Thistlewhistle and debating ethics with Kalar contrasts so strongly with the violent acid-soaked mess of this morning. She wants to rest so she can prepare her spells, but she is also finding it hard to sit still.
While Kalar and Lynda discuss the magic statues, Tammytharn gets up and walks to the room with the runed tiles on the floor.
She doesn't dare step on the tiles, remembering the possession of Kalar and Lynda, but instead she takes out one of her blank sheets of parchment. She levitates it with the Hand of the Mage, and drags it across the row of tiles that spells GOHEΠ and watches to see if anything happens to the parchment.

Tammytharn arrives in the magic tile room. As she experiments with the tiles she notices that the tiles going straight down the middle have all lost their letters. Her experiments are yield no results.

Kalar gathers what remain of his flasks. He also scours the alchemical lab for other containers. That done, he places them all on the floor. He raises his holy symbol and causes water to fill all of the containers.
Always a good idea to have some water around, never know when it will be needed. He says to the others that they should all take some of the water, as they may need it later.
*How many flasks is that? Mostly did this to get rid of the "assorted flasks" line in my inventory, and so that I can keep track of exactly how many remain.

Kalar takes out and fills 23 flasks of various shapes and sizes with water.

With that done, Kalar decides what to do next. There's still some time left before turning in to sleep, so he decides to do a little scouting. He heads for the tile room. Once there, he dashes across the walls, bypassing the tiles entirely. It would be a good idea to see these rooms Rachelle was talking about, so he heads towards them and peeks around. Also, if Gontort is in trouble, Hrulgin might not make it back in time to warn the rest of the party before Gontort gets himself killed.

Tammytharn watches as Kalar enters the room and runs across the walls without even looking at her. Then he leaves through the other door without even a glance her way.
Kalar climbs the ladder and picks up the pace when he hears Gontort yelling up ahead. He arrives int he black room witht he door to the east open. It opens to a red room where a large red man with a glowing shield stands. Gontort looks like he's thinking.
"But what do you mean you're guarding the other doors in this room! There is only one door! Now, tell me whats in that chest over there or better yet hand it over," snorts Gontort.
The large red man replies, "Please leave. This is my chest and I don't have to show you anything. Your attempts to intimidate me are pitiful."
Hrulgin looks back at Kalar and shrugs.

Right... This is pretty bad.
Kalar slowly enters the room, hands held up showing that he is unarmed. He looks at the tall figure and says as diplomatically as possible,
"Good sir, I do apologize for my dwarven friend. He can be a bit rude at times, and lacks knowledge of the finer points of conversation. This is no fault of his, but rather mine in not attending to him as closely as I should have."
Kalar beckons to Hrulgin to start leading Gontort back to the black room.
"We will trouble you no further, and we will be on our way. Again, you have my apologies."
Kalar does not, however, say that he won't return, something that he intends to do later once the rest of the party is together.

"Get your ghouly hands off of me." Gontort twarts Hrulgin's attempts to lead him back tot he black room. "Me and this red man here were having a conversation. Isn't that right red man? Anyways, fine! Keep your chest! But if you think I'm pitiful, you're very mistaken." With that Gontort brandishes his large axe.
The red man readies his weapon and shield. "If it's a fight you want, I welcome it little man." The red man smiles a bit. Both men stand ready to fight, but neither of them seem willing to throw the first attack.

"Blast it, Gontort, this is not the time to be fighting. Listen there will be ample opportunity to fight later. If you fight this once, then you get one fight, and then that's it. If you follow me and fight later, you will gets lots of fights. So keep a hold of yourself for now, and I promise you other fights down the road."
Kalar has no intention of getting involved in battle right now, especially since there's only three of them and he had been wanting to get some rest at the moment.
