Well, they'll function better now, but Kalar is slightly disappointed that he won't have armored ghouls at his beck and call. Still, they're better than zombies.
He takes a look at what they dropped, seeing if any of it is worth anything.
Kalar considers something, and asks, "John, I noticed a pit in the room where we met. Other than the ghoul lands, was there anything down that pit? Like chests or crates that might hold useful equipment? Specifically, a large silver key?"

"There is a chest of treasure at the bottom of the hole. I don't know what's in it," says the ghoul.
Meanwhile, Rachelle peaks in to see a green room. The walls and ceiling of this room are painted green. An emerald colored carpet covers the floor. The room is empty of furniture. The scent of sandlewood, roses and musk fills the room. A giant man, about 9ft tall, stands in the center of the room. The giant's skin is pale green and his hair and long shaggy beard are dark green. He holds a green two-handed sword. A normal sword is belted at his waist. He is dressed in leather clothing dyed green.

Rachelle closes the door, and goes to look at what's in the east door instead.
No chance she was going to be taking on a giant herself, especially seeing as everyone in here seemed to be degrees of insane and/or bloodthirsty.

Heat washes over Rachelle as she opens the door. A blood-red carpet covers the floor. The walls and ceiling have been painted scarlet. The incense of sulpher, benzoin and euphorbiurn fills the room. The furniture in the room has been lacquered red. A large man stands in the center of the room. The man has scarlet skin and yellow hair. He wears reddish gold armor. His shield shines like the sun.

"Hmm... We might take a while discussing our options here, John. Could you head down that pit and bring that chest back here?"

"The chest would be too heavy to lift out while climbing, but I will bring you what contents I can carry." After saying that, the ghoul leaves.

Lynda takes the scrolls and the map.
She goes and pokes her head out to the main room to see the her gathered party members.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be exploring these rooms out here." She says. She then goes to peek into the door of the long eastern room.

Tammytharn goes back to her writing, a mix of worry and relief fighting in her head. Kalar seems to be on his best behavior. The Ghouls seem to be on their best behavior. She knows just enough about ghouls to know that is a very unusual state for them. She begins to outline a subchapter about inherently violent creatures behaving with uncharacteristically Raoan rationality, and the thorny issues that brings up about the differences in the temperament and reason of different creatures, and how that clashes with the Raoan ideal of universal rationality.
She is also trying not to think about how Kalar intends to feed his "friends". No matter how polite they are right now, they are going to get hungry sooner or later.

A ghoul rushes by Lynda in the hallways. Had she not seen the ghoul with Kalar she would have likely been rather bothered by this. Lynda reached the door and opened it to reveal a mound of gold 10' high by 10' wide by 40' long lying in the middle of the room. Lynda sees jewels, shields and other items of treasure in the pile as well.

What? By herself? Blast it.
Kalar beckons to Kretivuslar to follow and heads on after Lynda to keep her out of trouble.

Rachelle closes the door to the red room.
Seeing the size of her potential foes, she decides that she might as well regroup with the rest of the party before tackling either of them.
She goes back down the ladder, but not before looking out the window.

Lynda's eyes widen, and then she promptly shuts the door, then puts her back to it. Then, she quickly opens the door again to peer in, then shuts it quickly again. There's no way all that gold isn't booby trapped.
She pokes back out in to the main room.
"Hey guys, I just found an incredible treasure hoard in one of these rooms. I don't trust it though, so if any of you want to exercise your avarice and take a risk, feel free."
With that, she goes to peer in to the north eastern room.

Lynda reports back and then quickly opens the last door in the hallways. In the center of this otherwise bare room is a 10 foot deep sunken pit filled with liquid. A thin glass sphere floats in the middle of the pit. Inside the sphere can be seen a large silver key.
Rachelle climbs back down the ladder. She crosses back through the prison room, ignoring the bullheaded man and comes tot he letter tile room. The tiles now have all their letters back.

Lynda sees the key. She has hairbrained ideas, but she isn't sure of a few things.
She cautiously dips a dagger blade into the liquid.

Rachelle looks at the re-lettered tiles, and sighs. She takes off her scale armor, tying it to her pack as best she can, and puts her magical shield on her pack, leaving her steel one resting against a wall.
She then walks back to the end of the corridor, and then starts running, hoping to clear the tiles completely with a long jump.
