"I don't know what is in there," Tammytharn tells Gontort

Rachelle and Tammytharn watch as Gontort opens the door to the west and heads in. It seems to lead to some sort of hallway, but neither of them could tell from where they were standing. Gontort quickly leaves their sight.

Kalar frowns at this, quite annoyed.

"Lynda, I do believe we will not be getting any answers out of this fellow. Perhaps we had better search for answers elsewhere."

Kalar turns from the bull-man to inspect the cell of the dead painter. He searches the body, trying to find any clues, or perhaps even a silver key on the off chance the man was carrying one.

Rachelle, having no intention of following Gontort into the hallway in question, instead goes back to the prison to scowl at the now-ruined painting. While there, she realizes the existence of a door at the far end of the prison, and goes to examine it.

Kalar searches the painter's cell and the painter's corpse. The corpse doesn't seem to have anything on it besides cloths, paint and brushes. Sticking out of one of the empty paint cans however, Kalar finds a bejeweled dagger.

Then Lynda and Kalar watched as Rachelle came and investigated the other door int he room. It doesn't seem latched. The door leads to a long hallway much like the one the party found right after climbing down the large ladder.

Kalar takes the jeweled dagger. At the best, it's some enchanted sacrificial dagger, they -are- under a chapel after all. At the worst though, it's a sharp pointy piece of metal that might come in handy.

"Come, Lynda, let's head back to the main room and regroup."

As he leaves, he calls out to Rachelle, "Rachelle, dear, we're heading back to regroup and to see if Thistlewhistle is any better. After you're done looking around, I would be most obliged if you'd return to tell us what you've found."

With that, he heads back to the main room.

Tammytharn closes the door that Gontort left hanging open.

"I SWEAR that dwarf was born in a BARN." she mutters, to no-one in particular.

Rachelle heads down the corridor, newfound shield held in front of her.

Kalar enters the main room, rather disappointed that he didn't receive any answers.

"Any changes with the gnome?" Kalar looks around. "And where did the fool Gontort head off to?"

Kalar and Lynda returned to the lab and began conversing with Tammytharn. Just then, Gontort came burst back through the door he came in, closing it behind himself. "I hate dogs!" Gontort backed away from the door then.
Scratching sounds could then be heard from the other-side of the door. Followed by a fireball blowing the door open. Two hellhounds walked into the lab growling. The slowly approached the party then stopped. A look of surprise came across their dog faces and they began frantically smelling the air.

Meanwhile, Rachelle walked down the corridor. It ended not too deep in and came to a ladder leading up, much like the ladder the party came down. Next to the ladder Rachelle found a large lever.

"What. Did. You. Do??"

Kalar whips out his war pick and moves in to use his shield to cover Thistlewhistle and (to a lesser extent) Tammy.

"Raoan, if you have any magic that will aid in this situation, now is a good time. Unless, of course, you would rather be roasted alive for your beliefs."

Lynda gives a muffled sigh. She brings up her bow, and readies it. If those dogs make any sort of attack towards her party members or herself, she'll fire at them relentlessly.

Rachelle, hearing only some muffled sounds from behind her, moves the lever, readying herself to move if anything happens in the vicinity.

Kalar waits, readying himself to jump at and attack the first thing that moves. Normally, he'd have someone else do it, but his minion supply is sadly low at the moment.

The hellhounds sit and begin panting, both of them seeming to be starring at Lynda.

Above Rachelle, a loud scraping sound can be heard. A bright light appears and it seems as if a hatch is opening up top.
Meanwhile, the party hears what sounds like a large stone slab sliding against more stone coming from the north.
