Kalar likewise turns into mist and speeds away to the other side of the room. He makes sure to use his mist form to the best of his ability and keeps to nooks and crannies too small for any of those creatures to appear through. His undead though, have no such ability other than the shadow who can fly, so he observes the room, looking for a possible means of allowing them to cross safely.
Wind walk move speed is 60 mph but with poor maneuverability. All of the party have the white robes that Kalar bought previously, so here's hoping the "If fully clothed in white, they are 80% likely to be mistaken for clouds, fog, vapors, or the like." bit pays off.

Down the hall, Kalar finds that the skeleton he sent ahead is gone. He also finds another door roughly 100 yards through the twisting and turning cave-like room. The floor and walls of the cave-like room reveal no possibility of a safe way of walking across. Considering the size of the sharks and the way they ate the elven woman, it's likely no where in this room is safe.

Rob searches through his magical items trying to find something tht would be useful, and finds nothing.
Then he stares at the stone for a while (from a safe distance) hoping that Nerroth might erupt out of the shark's belly in dragon-form...
Finally he says "Friends, how are we going to jump over this shark?"

Azedarac cried, "We have to get this door closed, before..."
Chomp
A land shark ate one of Kalar's Jim's whole, which was in the back of the room where the majority of the group were gather. Then the shark and went back under the hard stone ground.
Suddenly, Rob found himself pulled into the Ethereal realm. At that same moment, he watched as a gemmed shark bite down on the ground where he once stood.
"These things are dangerous," Dan said to his son.
The group began to panic.
"Retreat to the lava room!" cried the silver dragon.
"Fly!" cried the tall inquisitor as he flew into the air.

"It's a good idea, but there's a few problems with that," Dan said to Rob. As he did, the kobolds were eaten, both in one bite.
"Foolish to stand so close," the tall inquisitor said of the kobolds.
The group made it to the lava room, with only 2 skeletons being lost along the way.
The sharks could be seen poking their heads out into the void and then turning quickly back.
"As I was saying," Dan continued. "The problem is that someone needs to open the door. Also, if we do that, we might just be bringing these things with us into the next room which will likely have it's own things to deal with."

"I'll bet whatever is waiting for us in the next room is even worse than the sharks, and letting the sharks fight it for us sounds nice to me."
Still thinking out loud, Rob looks at the lava under the bridge.
"I wonder what those rock-swimming sharks would think of molten rock. I don't have any magic that could throw a blob of it in there with them... does anybody else?"

"You're very wrong about those sharks helping us against what's in the next room," chimed in Azedarac. "I've something like these before. He called the astral constructs. If that's what they are, and the giant is in the next room, they won't help us at all. Our best bet might be to blow up the room they are currently in and hope it takes care of them."
"That seems too risky," replied the silver dragon.
"No, he may be right," said Dan. "One big shot might take care of this small problem without having to lose anyone else."
A discussion began then about who would cast the spell and what they should cast.

Kalar overhears them, and decides now might be as good a time as any to attempt it. He holds up his holy symbol, focusing all the power he has into it, then sends that power screaming into the room, hoping it will at least have some sort of effect, considering how volatile the spell has been in the past.

CRASH!
Rob sat on top of Stumpy still in the ethereal plane and watched the room in front of him collapse.
Harvey, enjoying his gaseous form, watched as two of the sharks slid helplessly into the lava. Their gemmed skin did little to protect them from the heat.
Lynda watched as the stone bridge, previously held up on one end by the walls that were now crumbling, began to crumble.
Kalar watched as many of his skeletons fell into the lava below.
Everyone else watched as the silver dragon struggled to stay int he air. Everyone else had means of perfect flight but him.
The silver dragon landed on the wreckage of the room. He looked around nervously for any remaining gemmed sharks.
