Claire joins Lynda on the bed. "This bed is really comfy," she says. Kalar leaves the room, back the way the party came.

Rob takes the words of Kalar regarding the poison very seriously. "We are going back to the wagon." He says firmly. "Voulton, help me carry her!" Rob begins to pick up Lynda, intending to follow Kalar's instructions.

"Come on Lynda! This is serious! You might die!" He nods in Rachelle's direction and whispers "you don't want to end up like her do you?"

Rob and Voulton hoisted Lynda into the air and carried her towards the exit. As they reached the top of the stairs, another wave of weakness hit Lynda. She almost passed out from the poison. She felt very weak and could barely move. Rob and Voulton felt Lynda go slightly limb in their arms as they carried her. If not for Lynda's rapid eye movement, Rob and Voulton might have thought she died. Their hands had sunken a good deal into her incorporeal body by the time they left the tower.
Kalar ran over with a scroll and cast lesser restoration on Lynda. Some of the life returned to Lynda then, not that the party could tell. She could still barely move. Everything felt very heavy.
Claire, having followed closely behind Voulton and Rob along with Rachelle, spoke out then, "Is she going to be alright? Is she a ghost?"

"Blast! If she had just waited until I had cleared the room..."

Kalar turns to the others and says, "Get her to the wagon, she can lie down better there than on the ground here."

While moving to the wagon, he ignores Claire's questions, instead focusing on how to help Lynda. He reaches into his pack and retrieves a healer's kit and a surgical set.

Once at the wagon, he'll attempt to put the amulet around Lynda's neck again, to prevent her from vanishing completely and so that he can work. He takes his equipment and sets to work on her, attempting to identify what sort of poison it was that affected her. He'll also get to work using his medical skill, trying to prevent any further spread of the poison.

"Right, lads. I would appreciate it if you could set up camp. I'll keep tending to Lynda, to make sure the poison doesn't spread any further. I don't have the spells now, as I was not expecting anyone to be poisoned because we had the sword. I'll stay up with her through the night, and tomorrow I will have a spell ready that will heal her of this poison. We just have to make sure she makes it through the night."

"Is this how I'll meet my maker?" Lynda says drearily. "Not through a blaze of battle, or a grand spectacle of sheer unluck, but...a small dart from someones lockbox? That's rather pathetic, after coming all this way."

"You're not going to die, not on my watch. Put your amulet back on, I can't treat you if I can't touch you."

Kalar keeps working on Lynda, trying to assess the extent of the poison while doing all he can to stop any further damage.

Thinking about what spell he'll need, he reaches into his pack and retrieves a large diamond. It's far larger than what he'll need, but with no other diamonds, it'll have to do. He hands it to Voulton and says, "Friend Voulton, I would appreciate if you could find a way to grind this into dust. I will need it to treat Lynda, but I fear I lack the strength or the knowledge as to how to grind something like this up. Perhaps you could put something together that will do the job? I won't be using all of the dust, but I will need some in order to treat our patient."

Rob helps set up camp.

He look through all his scrolls, hoping one might be helpful, but he is disappointed to confirm that none of them are relevant to the situation of a poisoning.

Voulton looks at Kalar like he has worms coming out of his ears... and maybe he really does. "I'm a lumberjack, not a jeweller... but I'll see what I can do."

As far as Voulton can figure he'll need two parts: Something strong and heavy to shatter the diamond and grind it to dust, and something even stronger and heavier to contain the valuable dust without breaking under the forces involved.

Fortunately we're in a Ruins. Big rocks should be abundant and if not, nobody'll care if part of a tower gets mistaken for a tree and viciously hacked off!

Having obtained a big rock, he'll retire with the diamond to the wagon for cover from the wind (Don't want this blowing away!), place the diamond into his shiny new shield (sturdiest container I can think of) and go caveman on the problem with the big rock.

"Thank you, Voulton. I know it's not your realm of expertise, but you've shown yourself to be rather resourceful, so I trust you will be able to do this."

The party set up camp to treat Lynda. Voulton had trouble breaking the diamond with the large rock and noticed that he was getting more rock dust than diamond dust. Rob and Rachelle went about setting up tents and bedrolls. Kalar could tell that the poison had already done it's worst but couldn't help Lynda with the damage already done. Claire looked up at the setting sun. It had been more than a month since she had been outside and it was beginning to really hit her that she was finally free. She had given up long ago. She went and sat down on a small nearby boulder, and thought about what Kalar had said about the destruction of her family.

The moon cast a bright light on the party that night. Things seemed peaceful aside from the loud cricket sounds. An hour into the night and the cricket sounds had turned to screeching. The party quickly noticed that the wall of mist was coming closer. "What is that terrible sound? Is all nature this loud?" asked Claire.

"That terrible sound means the Kingdom is shrinking! Will we be safe in the ruins?!"

"I have my doubts. Everyone, onto the boat!"

Kalar takes the feather token he made on the way here and activates it, causing another swan boat to appear. He orders Bill and the rest of his undead onto the boat.

"Hurry, we don't know how much that thing is going to shrink, and I would rather not be around to find out."

Rachelle looks at the incoming wall of mist, extremely concerned. Had she read anything about this in the books she had procured?

"How close is it to town again? Would it be worth retreating there for now?" she asks as she gets onto the swan boat.

As Kalar readied the boat, Rob, Claire, and Rachelle looked at the wall of Mist closing in on them. None of them had ever heard of anything like this happening before. Voulton carried Lynda onto the boat while Kalar's skeletons and bloodhulks spooked the horses. As he had many times before, without even Kalar's knowledge, Hrulgin applied a bit of his poison to the horses to keep them calm while on the boat. Hrulgin gave Stumpy a stern look to make sure he wasn't going to panic while on the boat.
The mist was moving swiftly towards the party as they all gathered on the boat. As the boat pulled away from the shore, The mist had past the peak of the nearby mountains and was still moving in. Despite being miles away, the sound coming from the mist was intense.
"Are we heading back to town now?" asked Claire cheerfully.
