"I see," says Claire. "What house are you from, Lynda was it? I'm surprised to have never heard of such an outspoken and strong lady as yourself. Though, from the look of your companions," Claire looked at Rachelle as she continued, "we might not mingle in the same circles."
It was several minutes later when Kalar's skeleton returned.

"Right, lads. My skeleton has just returned, and it didn't take very long. That means that we're standing right next to an open portal. One that leads to the ghoul lands. There's a chance that I'm not in danger from them, but as for the rest of you, it might be in grave danger the longer we stay. I propose we scout around a bit longer, and then leave until we can better assess the threat here. I will send my skeletons around as scouts."

Kalar orders one of his skeletons to open the door directly to the north. Again, looking for traps.

Rob frowns at being called "flirtatious". He actually had been planning to flirt with Lady Claire, but now he keeps his mouth shut, sulking at the realization that he is so predictable.

Finally he says "Are we ready to open some doors and explore a bit more?"

"Indeed we are. But keep on your toes, we have no idea what might be ready to attack us."

"Oh, my house?" Lynda says. "My apologies. It's been quite a while since anyone has ever asked me a question of that sort."

Lynda clears her throat.

"My proper title is Lady Lynda Masqué Elanorandor, of House Elanorandor. I'm not of Averoigne, but I am instead a foreigner. This is why you would have never have encountered a lady such as myself. My family is well known for their extravagance, but we also pride ourselves for being educated and well spoken within our community. It is the source of our natural leadership, you could say. We are also known for our exquisite gallas, our most popular event being our annual Elanorandor Masquerade Ball. It's where I met my late husband, Sir Ardan Turosa, of House Turosa. Oh, the thought of that charming visage makes me melt anew..." Lynda swoons slightly. "They have their own history, but for now we'll focus on my own as to not drag this out too long. He passed away a few months ago to a crippling disease, and I reverted back to my maiden name. Scandalous, I know. He insisted though that a strong woman such as myself carry on her family's honor."

"How did a woman of my status find myself here? I had heard stories of fabulous riches, and I decided to command an investigation, a la this small party of capable adventurers. However, one thing lead to another, and we found ourselves here. I'm already on my second dress! Some of my jewelry has broken, and it's tragic. It's a rough life for a noble woman such as myself, but I would be lying if I said it didn't have its benefits. Averoigne is so beautiful, and Vyones is stunning."

Lynda laughs slightly.

"Oh my, it's been long since I've spoken of my lineage. I hope it did not bore you Claire."

Claire gives Rob a sly look as suggests opening more doors. He's not sure, but she might be flirting slightly. His attention, as well as Claire and Lynda's, is refocused as Kalar's skeleton opens the door.
This is a bedroom. An ornate bed, a dresser, a rug and a table all of which seem new. A good sized lock box can be found on the table.
"Oh, this room looks nice. That bed is almost as nice as my bed back home," says Claire. "I suppose I can stay here while you do what you're going to do. Would anyone else like to wait with me?" Claire gives a sideways glance at Rob as she asks her question but then seems to be looking towards Lynda or Voulton.

"If you'll pardon me, I see the prospect of treasure. Keep back." Lynda says.

She walks over to the lockbox and begins to pick it.

Kalar looks over the room, using his sword to search for traps.

He decides to allow Lynda to have her share of the treasure now in order to mollify her.

Also, completely missing any of the cues, Kalar says, "I can have my minions guard you if you so desire. The others might be needed if we run into danger."

Kalar tries to stop Lynda as she approaches the lockbox. It was too late. As Lynda touched the box a dart shot out from a small slot near the keyhole. The dart was very small, but Lynda could feel the strong poison right away. She cursed herself for being in her physical form. She began to feel very weak, and stumbled away from the lockbox. Claire ran up beside her. "What happened?!" cried Claire.
Kalar detects no other traps.

Lynda takes 5 strength dmg.

"Oh, it's nothing, eheh..." Lynda manages. "The damn thing was trapped, like I was saying earlier...I should be fine, I think. Oh, and please don't panic at what I'm about to do next."

Lynda takes off the amulet and goes back to picking the lock.

"Stand back. I don't want anyone else being hit with darts."

"Blast it! This is why we let the skeletons open things! Put the lickpicks away, that poison might still be able to kill you! I'll grab the treasure for you, but for now we have to make sure you don't die!"

Kalar turns to the others and says, "Quick, let's get her back to the wagon. I can treat the poison, but I'd rather do it in a place where we don't have to worry about being attacked."

Kalar makes ready to leave, but firsts orders one of the blood hulks to bring the lockbox. He also order the skeletons to load the contents of the dressers into Bill's saddlebags before leaving.

The dresser seems to be full of mundane clothing.

Mundane clothing can always be used as bandages. Or sold to refugees of the colossus attack. Kalar orders the skeletons to stuff as many of the clothes as possible into the saddlebags.

"Come on, lads, we need to get back to the wagon." Not wanting to waste any more time, Kalar orders one of his bloodhulks to pick Lynda up. He starts leading the way back to the wagon.

"Lynda, we have no idea what that poison does. It could very well kill you. So lie back, and keep calm so that the poison doesn't spread further. I have a scroll in the wagon that might help. Now get moving, lads."

Seems like Lynda won't be moving much. Kalar belays the order to the bloodhulk.

"Stay right here then, I'll be back."

Kalar leaves with his undead, heading for the wagon. Once there, he'll open the locked chest and grab a scroll of lesser restoration. It's not as good a one to remove the poison completely, but it's all he's got for now.
