Voulton smashes the skeleton too. Even though it can't hurt Lynda, it's... just weird to watch it reach through her like that. After it's dead, he'll join the search for valuables. He's got a sneaking suspicion what that thing was, and if he's right, and the old wives tales are true, they like to sleep in coffins.. "I don't know... nobody said anything about him having fangs. Could've been anything. Stay alert."

Rachelle and Voulton team up to smash the weak skeleton into the ground. Being defeated by Rachelle's first hit, the skeleton was in no shape to deal with Rachelle's second hit and certainly not Voulton's attacks.
Lynda, joined shortly by Voulton and then the others, looked around the room. The shelves seemed bared aside from the large bones. The bones did not seem human nor any sort of nature animal. Strange runes covered the bones. On the table, a large skull that seemed to have only one eye hole sat partly covered in runes.
Aside from the bones, a large book sat on the table, along with several scroll. The book seemed wicked and was open to a page that seemed to be written in blood. Diagrams of bones and monstrous creatures covered the pages. Lynda could see that the scrolls and the book were magical. The bones and the tattered clothing of the pale man were not magical.
Kalar looked around and quickly saw that the brittle door to one of the towers was open. He headed for that tower.

Kalar manifests his sword and holds it out in front of him. He uses its ability to detect traps. If the others went through here, they might have already set off other traps. But this is a necromancer's lair, he might have had ones set in place specifically for undead.
He has no idea if the others are nearby, but just in case, he calls out: "Ardan, Silas, Gontort." as per the prearranged password.

Lynda, fearing the book, decides to put on her amulet and take the book.

Nothing happened when Lynda took the book. The party seemed reserved in this room. The bones may have been valuable but touching them didn't seem worth it. Voulton turned his attention towards the other door in the room then. It was another braced wooden door. It may have been locked like the other, he thought.
Kalar continued moving deeper into the dungeon. His sword was leading the way. It detected a trap in the pillars but Kalar could also tell that the trap was not active.

Kalar continues on, unsure if the others have gone on ahead of if he's just still unable to see them. He keeps using the sword to search for traps while moving ahead. He keeps his eye out for any sign of light. The others can't see in darkness, so they would have to be using torches of some sort, so that should provide some clue as to where they've gone.

"Bravo, Lynda!" says Rob, delighted at how cleanly she dispatched the pale pointy-teethed man.
Looking around the room, he remarks, "Wow, Kalar will probably love to see all this stuff. I guess it is safe to say his undead-hiding spell is broken now. Shall we wait for him here?"
"...or perhaps now is a good time to double back and release those chained people?"

Voulton nods and starts back to the prisoners. "We have to be careful though. They obviously aren't in the most strategic mindset. And if there's still a warzone outside, they might be safer here until we finish."
When he gets back to them, he'll look around for where they've been getting food and water. Then he'll inspect the chains and figure out the best way to break it (but he won't do it just yet). and then he'll introduce himself. "Hi. I'm Voulton."

"Perhaps we should do something about those people." Lynda says, putting the book she acquired in her Haversack. "If we're gonna go back for them, I guess I should take off my bracers. I don't think my four arms made a good first impression."

Rob wanders around the area they have already explored, looking carefully at things, especially the doors, although he makes no attempt to touch or open any of them.
He is ready to run back to the others or call for help if anything dangerous pops out.
If his scorpion hasn't expired yet, he will sent it along in front of him until it does vanish.
He hums a little wordless tune, but isn't in the mood to sing anything just yet.

Voulton and Lynda went back to check on the prisoners. Rob followed slowly behind paying more attention to the doors then the prisoners. Rob noticed that two of the doors were thick and sealed around the edges. These doors were the one right across from the prisoners to the north and the one on the west side of the hallway. Rob wondered if they might lead to the same room. They seemed to have a complex latch on them but there was no sign of a keyhole. The door down the smaller hallway to the east was a third braced wooden door. The only remaining door seemed like an old brittle door, unlikely to hold back much force at all. It sat to the south of the prisoner's food and water room.
Voulton made a note that the barrels of water looked vile. Very tiny worms swam around in the water and a slight smell came out of the barrels. The rations were almost completely covered in mold. Voulton wondered how these prisoners could be alive. As he went over to address the prisoners, the woman reached out with her shackled arm as much as she could and cried, "Help me! Let me out!" Almost completely ignoring his sensible tone.
As Rob's Scorpion expired, Kalar walked into the room where the bodies hang. He could see the others in the next room.

"We'll have you out as soon as we can, but there's a war going on outside. We're going to get you food and water, we're going to take the chains off, but we've gotta wait till the coast is clear to leave. Who are you? How did you come to get captured and have you overheard anything that we can use to make sure our escape is as succesful as possible?"

"I'm going to go scout out ahead." Lynda says. "Voulton, it's your call if you want to free these guys. They seem a little unhinged, and I'm not so sure how they'll react if we let them run amok while the dungeon remains dangerous."
Lynda decides to attempt to carefully open the old and brittle door.

Kalar walks into the room and says:
"Prisoners. And torture, by the looks of it. How vile."
He looks at the others and says:
"Ardan, Silas, Gontort. So you know it's me. It's clear up top now. I've destroyed most of them and controlled the rest. Let me see to these poor wretches. Voulton, if you could empty that barrel of foul water, I can create something fresher to give to these fellows."
Kalar will use his medical skill to determine their condition and the extent of their damage. He also uses his glove on the prisoners, healing them up as much as he can. While he's at it, he'll take a look at how they're bound, trying to see how to free them.
Before touching them though, he'll use his sword first to determine if there are any sorts of traps on them. He'll be sure to keep physical contact to the bare minimum, both to prevent tripping any traps and to ensure that he doesn't frighten the prisoners any further. Not out of any particular concern for their well-being, but because they'll be poor sources of information if they're too scare to speak.

Voulton will empty the barrel as requested. He'll try not to splash anyone or get the nasty water on him.
