Voulton nods at Rottlerwits' possible explanation. "That kind of thing is entirely possible. We also found some secret passages in her tower, but were unable to explore them fully due to a ghost attack. We should probably take him an omelette even if they don't travel well, just to show that we tried. I'm not sure what danger he perceives, but if someone were going to try something they had WAY better chances than now. But let's not dawdle, we have important business to attend!"

Rachelle stumbled in, a bit embarrassed about her hangover. Barbarians were supposed to be fantastic with respect to dealing with alcohol, but evidently she didn't have it in her.
Or she hadn't eaten enough food to mop up all the alcohol. Sure, that's it.
Certainly some food right now would be nice; hopefully she hadn't woken up too late to grab breakfast.

Rob leads the others to breakfast, saying "This is my treat, in case I didn't mention it before". He offers some more of the "Hair of the dog" to Rachelle.
He looks at Lynda's necklace. "If that is really one of the Inquisition's necklaces, that might tells us a lot about the strengths and weaknesses of their own defences against magic."
"Also, where did you get the necklace?" he asks. "Sorry if you said already, I might have missed it. Did you take it off the body of a dead Inquisitor?"

"I did not plunder it, actually." Lynda says. "It was gifted to me in the Castle. A mysterious statue wore this amulet, and when it interacted with me, it gave me the amulet."

"From the Infamous Castle Amber? Really?" Rob walks silently for a moment...
"I wonder what that means... Did the Inquisition get their necklaces from inside the castle?"

The party, minus Kalar, talked as they walked. They soon came to a small restaurant. The man out front seemed very welcoming though he stopped Rob and the others at the door. The sword at the man's side hinted at more than a waiter, as did his presence in the town despite the mass evacuation. Rob soon lead the others in. The place seemed nice enough. Rob had always been told that this was the place to converse without magically being spied on. Despite magic being outlawed, there were still a good deal of people that used it for devious reasons. So he instantly thought of this place, when thinking of a place to talk. That, and it really did have the best omelettes du fromage in the kingdom.
Meanwhile:
One of her caretakers finished feeding and changing him. Fresh flowers were placed in the vase on the table near the bed and the shades where open to let in the morning sun.
As soon as the caretaker left, a man he didn't know appeared in the room. He walked with meaning towards the dresser. His focus was on the blue torch, set in a holder and ever burning on top of the dresser.
"Are you sure I can't just take it?" he said, seemingly to himself. A voice responded then, "Bahamut won't allow the torch to be taken very far from the halfling. A bit of it's fire is all that is required."
He reached into his pocket and took out a glass orb then. A flick of his wrist sent the orb floating into the blue flame and out again. A small blue flame burned in the orb then. "This was too easy, Chrizorth. Was my skill truly required?"
"Dan, you hold the key to breaking this curse. We can't let it fall into the wrong hands. I have prepared for that whole tavern to be razed should knowledge of the torches power become known."
Dan took a minute to stare at the torch. Had the dragon god really sent such a powerful artifact in the hands of a sleeping halfling? He knew he would never understood the actions of the divine.
He dissappeared then, leaving no hint of his time there. Galse checked in on the Thistlewhistle a bit later. He had gone through a bit of trouble to set things up for her. He wondered if she would ever wake up to appreciate it.
Kalar sat on the ground in the woods. He had sent a message to the new guy. Now all he had to do was wait and everyone would be out there with him and leaving that city. Then they could begin talking about their plans. Till then, he decided to sit down and mill over his magical creations.

"Alright, so..." Lynda begins. "We need to plan our course of action. As fantastic as Yvones is, I really feel like we need to get out of here and get out of the public eye. It's drawing Inquisition attention and I don't like it."
"We can re-visit Moriamis' hideaway. She's an eccentric woman, but her lair is open to us for visit. We can always go back to Sephora's tower and investigate it. We ran off in a hurry, but there seemed to be more rooms hidden within. It'd be nice to talk to Helena as well. Our time travelling had some sort of impact on her party and got Alexander killed...finally, we need to seek out the Ring of Eibon. If I recall correctly, someone named Luc de Chaudronnier has it."
"And I'd also like to order an Omelette du Fromage, or however you call those cheesy things."

Rachelle also orders an omelette, and begins the task of checking just what has changed between the two versions of the books she has with her.

"Obviously we need to regroup with Kalar, first. After that, I don't know" although he does have an idea he's toying with. "I'd like to talk to Helena again, just to get an idea of where we stand. I'm not ready to look for the ring. Our changes may've had done something to it and I'd like to at least hear her out about the ring before we go chasing it. Was there anything else weird we should be looking into?"

Kalar waits for the others. With nothing much to do other than work on the feather token, he decides to take a break.
He lifts up the sword and focuses on it, gathering his mental fortitude against any possession attempts. He attempts to Locate the special saddle he made for Bill.

Kalar sensed the saddle miles and miles to the north. A night's travel he guessed.
Rachelle looked through the books. A whole chapter on Sylaire was missing as well as any mention of werewolves. Looking into the chapters, the chapter about Sylaire that was missing was about their battles with werewolves. Rachelle reasoned that everything werewolve based was not in the new version. She also noted that there were more mentions of bears than before.
The others all came up with a list of things to do next.

Most interesting...
Kalar wonders what this could mean. Still, he doubts they have the resources to go after Bill at the moment. Might be safer to regroup first and restock on supplies before attempting anything else.

Rob thoughtfully savours his Omelette. The fromage is perfectly melted.
"I was hoping to visit with Bishop Jean Luc of Vyones. I don't know if he would be sympathetic to my goal of ending the ban on magic, but I want to find out, and he probably knows all the dirt about Archbishop Azedarc. ...but if the danger Kalar mentions is real, it might be best to get out of town for a while."
"Lynda, you mentioned that Luc de Chaudronnier has this Ring of Eibon you are looking for? I know that Luc de Chaudronnier is revered as a hero in the city of Perigon-- but that is where the Beast of Averiogne stalks.... and I can't remember how long it has been since it last struck. It supposedly only seems to strike once every two years."
"Damn, this is a good Omelette."

"*DO* we want to get the ring right now? Havin all the stuff together could be dangerous. Look at all the trouble we've caused to get it, and we're still planning to travel around the country lookin for ex adventurers and figure out where they went wrong. If it's with this Luke Shadowrunner, I say we let him keep it for now, while we figure out what we're gonna do after we get it."
The omelette isn't quite salty enough, so Voulton breaks some jerky and puts it inside. Mmm, improvement tastes good.
"I want to know where we stand with the church too. Might be worth the risk to find out. But if this danger is real, we got a guy alone in the woods waiting while we savor this fantastic breakfast."
Not that he's going to be putting his fork down.

Kalar suddenly realizes that he's not feeling very hungry. At all. Strange.
