Kalar sees Rachelle go down and decides to abandon his previous plan.

"Lynda! We're heading down for Rachelle! As soon as we're there, I'll get off and tend to her. Stay on Bill, I'll order him to keep circling the colossus' head. Try to get one of those sacks into its mouth!"

Kalar glares down at the skeleton.

"And once we're down there, I'll take care of that blasted skeleton and get my sword back."

Seeing Rachelle swatted down like a fly, Rob changes course and spurs Stumpy to full speed, intending to ride over and cast Cure Serious Wounds on her.

"Kalar! While you get down there, give me the sword!" Lynda tells him. "I'm gonna try and get up there!"

"Right, then!"

As soon as he lands, he will grab the sword and pass it up to Lynda. Bill will keep an orbit around the collosus' head, staying just out of reach of its attack, but hopefully close enough for Lynda to strike with the bags, or potentially jump off and attack with the sword.

"Here!" Kalar reaches a hand back towards Lynda. "Take your ring, it will help in case you fall off. I won't need it down here while dealing with the undead."

Rachelle feebly passes her sword up to Kalar, then goes to drink one of her potions of Cure Moderate Wounds.

She felt like this was the end for her, and she had no idea how it could have worked out any differently.

Voulton isn't sure if he should move in and try to provide a distraction or stay back and try to keep the other undead from joining the fray. Both seem equally suicidal. "What do we do now?!" he calls up to Kalar.

Could you describe our surroundings a little more? How close is the undead army to the colossus? Is there a gate that we should be protecting?

slime it, it's no time for conversation. Voulton is gonna move in and give this monster the biggest, baddest, power attack he can muster. Deal with the consequences later!

Rachelle drinks her potion. Rob heals Rachelle more. Kalar Retreieves the sword from Rachelle and then begins passing items to Lynda who helps move things along. Kalar dismounts and faces off against the group of undead as Lynda looks towards the colossus.
Voulton hacked at the colossus' leg. Images of felling trees came to mind and he thought that if he could only cut through this trunk the whole colossus would come crashing down. But it didn't. Voulton's attack did damage, but not enough to drop the colossus.
The colossus stopped it's path towards the city wall then and looked towards Voulton.
The skeleton and the group of undead stood perfectly at ease. "You should all leave here," said the skeleton.

Kalar chucks the 7d6 fireball at the skeleton and the surrounding undead.

Lynda takes her amulet off.

"Dear lord, I can't believe I'm going to do this..." Lynda says. "I pray that this isn't how I die..."

Lynda gets ready, and attempts to leap for the colossus's mouth, with the sword and Gaspard's cat bags.

"Die young and leave a pretty corpse..." Lynda thinks.

Rachelle slowly backs away from the colossus. This was the second time she seemed to have been spared from death, and the actions of her fellow party members right now would most likely not give her a third time. Better to get away and live another day than to die for nothing in a land that didn't seem to care that much for her.

She almost let out a gasp when she saw Lynda jump down at the colossus... but then realized that she'd be perfectly fine with the sword in hand. Hopefully Lynda remembered that.

Rob brandishes his Rapier of Light Infliction, and charges the Collossus, intending to strike it with a Ride-by Attack, and keep going. He figures he can draw it's attention just as Voulton did, but get too far away for it to counterattack him.

The half-giant lumberjack responds to the skeleton, hoping to at least find out the reason he's going to die. "Leave for what?! Tell us what you want and we'll think about it! This is a honest, hard working city! It doesn't deserve to be destroyed by a hideous goddam monster! "

And then Voulton looks up at the colossus. He's glad he has its attention. Give the *REAL* threats room to do something. It's a strange and new sensation though, looking up at something so much bigger than you. A savage part of his psyche comes out, like the kind you see when a tiny dog tries to wrestle a bear. "THAT HIDEOUS MONSTER MEANS YOU BY THE WAY!! I'M GONNA CUT THIS LEG OFF IF IT'S THE LAST THING I EVER DO!!! I'M GONNA ROAST IT OVER A FIRE AND FEED IT TO THE WOLVES! DO YOU HEAR ME YOU UGLY BASTARD?!"

But that... that's not the right way, is it? Voulton doubted the words last time, but they worked out, didn't they? "Destroy a man's weapon and you destroy his will to fight". This thing is HUGE! The biggest thing Voulton's ever seen! And yet it's afraid! Afraid enough to have a club, like some kinda orc thug! And if it's afraid, it can die!

When that big club gets close, Voulton's gonna sunder the living hell out of it. And after they've buried this monster, there's gonna be a lot of nice benches for people to sit on and they WILL remember this day. One way or another, Voulton's gonna make sure of that.

The colossus brung it's club down on Voulton. At that moment, that very section of a second, Voulton struck. His enchanted axe cut through the colossus' club like butter. A visceral surge overcame Voulton and when he was done the colossus' club was nothing but massive splinters.

Rob attacked the colossus while it was distracted. He rushed by, slashing at it's leg as he did. He struck bone and could feel no give there.
Rachelle took opportunity to retreat for the time being. This thing may be beyond them all, she knew that now.
Kalar chucked a fireball at the crowd of undead. The wraiths burned but did't die and the skeleton ducks out of the way of the brunt of the explosion. The rest of the undead smolder into dust. The wraiths break formation. The 4 wraiths charge at Kalar. He was too quick for some of them but one of them does manage to land an attack. Kalar felts his life energy being sucked away is it touches him with it's ghostly hand.

Lynda jumped. She could feel the sword guiding her. She flew forward with the power of the sword. The sensation of flying was amazing. Then she entered the colossus' mouth. It bit down. The rest of the party lost sight of Lynda.
Lynda felt the colossus's mouth crush around her. It stopped her momentum and though she slashed at the colossus, she remained stuck in what she assumed was it's throat.

Lynda takes 37 dmg

"Gah!" Lynda thinks. "Why didn't the sword work!?"

Lynda tosses the powder bags down the colossus's throat, and promptly attempts to get the hell outta there by turning Ethereal.
