Lead?! Suddenly, she went from being a nobody to being the one to lead the group into danger! She didn't quite like the idea of leading, but seeing as the party just lost what was probably their last lead, someone has to answer the call.

Besides, running and hiding can only get you so far.

"Well, I guess I can lead you guys. Just...be sure you got my back, alright?"

She could trust Galse, and even Kalar, and shifty as he was. Lynda only had to hope that they could keep Silas in line.

"So...where do we begin?"

As Silas continues to open and close the door. He notices ridges in the wall to the left sink into the wall slightly. He seems to have discovered a secret door.

Silas enters the bedroom that he and the party rested in minutes ago. He presses upon a stone int he wall that he saw sink in a bit while testing the door. The wall cracks open. The noise attracts the attention of the other party members.
The secret door opens into another bedroom. This is the same bedroom Adran had opened a mirrored hall door into, but this was the first Silas got a good look at it. This room is much nicer than the one the party slept in. Silas sees the canopy bed with it's curtains pulled shut. He also sees an ornate dresser, an unlit fireplace, a wardrobe and a vanity.

Seeing the secret door open, Kalar heads over to have a look. He motions for the others to follow, Linda in particular.

Kalar approaches the canopy bed, and parts the curtains slightly. If no one's sleeping there, then they can get on with searching the room, particularly the dresser, wardrobe, and vanity. Those look rather interesting, and if this is a master bedroom or something similar, they might provide some clues about just where here is, and how to get out.

If there is someone sleeping there though, then that could change things a bit. Seeing as how his last meat shield just died, there's no sense taking any chances.

Inside the canopy of the bed laid an individual, apparently asleep, bundled under the covers. The figure under the blankets is completely covered. The party notices that the figure is larger than a normal sized human and doesn't fit well in the bed.
It stirs.

"Ah, blast it."

Doubting he'll be able to get out of there quickly enough (he had just parted the curtains) Kalar steps back, assuming as nonthreatening a pose as possible, making ready to greet whoever is in the bed. Who knows, it might be the owner of the castle, or perhaps this "Richard Clover" the cat people were talking about.

On that note, however, Kalar makes sure to position himself close to Linda, ensuring that he'll be able to side step quickly and provide the archer with a clear shot. And, of course, to put the archer in the line of sight of whoever's attacking, rather than putting himself in danger.

"Oh dear!"
A large head pokes out from under the sheets.
"Me must have slept in. Forgive me for my lack of hospital."
The figure under the covers was an ogre. The ogre is dressed in
silken night clothes which are bursting at the seams, because they
were designed for a much smaller individual. It gets out of bed, on the other side of the bed from the party.
"Give me a moment. Me need to get ready. Please, make self at home."
The ogre cringes each time it makes a grammatical error. It searches through the dresser near the bed. Clothes fly everywhere.

The party retreats slowly, ready to fight all the while.

Kalar, hoping the situation doesn't get out of hand, tries to talk to the ogre in as soothing and friendly a manner as possible.

He notices that the ogre cringed at its own grammatical error and was distressed by it. He decides to try to play on that, and convince the ogre (or at least assure it) that it is speaking perfectly well, and that Kalar is glad to be in its presence as a guest.

"Good day to you my," he eyes the clothes flying everywhere and hazards a guess, "lady. We did not mean to burst in like this." he says, trying to keep everything down to one syllable, but while remaining as courteous as possible.

"I must say, I did not hope to see someone as beautiful," he hides the cringe at having to use a three-syllable word, "or as nice and polite as you here. And one who speaks so good." Kalar also hides the wince at using the grammatically incorrect "good" rather than "well", but he hopes to allay the apparent unease of the ogre.

Kalar makes a show of getting comfortable (but not actually sitting down, as that could put him at a disadvantage) while smiling and generally showing that he is enjoying the presence and hospitality of the ogre.

"Can we help you, my lady? We would be very happy to help a woman as noble and pleasant as you."

"Lady? That qualifies as a lady these days?" Lynda thought to herself. Kalar is using his words to get by, and Lynda had no objections to that. An ogre is definitely not something she was comfortable with taking on.

Lynda lays on hand on the post of the bed, to try and appear somewhat relaxed.

"Thank you for the kind welcome." Lynda says, putting on a smile. She's generally not a people person, but she can try and fake it for the sake of not being beaten to a bloody pulp. "May we have the privilege of knowing thine name?"

The ogre seems to calm down as Kalar speaks. It's frantic clothes searching calms down a lot and the ogre stops throwing clothes.
"Ah, much nice guest. Oh heavens. I not introduced myself."
The ogre seems to have chosen a fancy green dress and lays it down on the bed. It then tears it's clothes off and tosses them to the the side.
"I am Lady Janette D'Cloverfield," says the ogre despite the thing dangling between it's legs arguing against it's statements.
The ogre tears into the green dress. Managing to sort of get the dress over itself despite the clear damage tot he dress. I clear sign of anger can be seen on the ogre as it looks down at it's torn dress.
"Please, let me prepare you some tea."

Kalar nods his head and says, "That would be very nice, Lady Janette. But please, do not trouble yourself. We will call the help." and makes a gesture to the party.

Kalar turns to Galse, and whispers "Please, play along."

He gestures to the dress and says, "You are very smart and good with clothes, what you did to the dress makes it look much more nice than it looked before."

"Lady...Janette? But...but it has-" Lynda thought. "Nevermind. If it thinks that it's a lady, I guess I'll have to play along, lest I offend it and get pulverized".

Playing along was Lynda's plan. She just needs to take cues off of Kalar, who is really trying to kick his charm into overdrive. Even Lynda, as reserved and withdrawn as she is, had to put in the effort.

"I absolutely adore that dress on you. It's a beautiful design and color, and might I add that it really brings out your eyes." Lynda says, as grandoise as she can possibly muster. It's no lie though, as it really is a nice dress. "And you are far too kind, offering us tea and everything."

Lynda says a silent prayer that this ogre buys into her honeyed words.

(Diplomancy Check)
"Ah, you ever so right. It be dinner time soon. Let us all go to the dining hall. Feast will be served soon I'm sure."
With that the ogre known as Janette walked to the door, the normal door not the secret door, and opened it.
"Right this way," said the ogre as it exited the room and headed towards the door Ardan described as a ghostly dining hall.

Kalar bows and says, "Thank you, my lady. We shall follow you then."

Not wanting to anger the ogre, Kalar follows.
