Voulton follows through on his previous threat, knocking every puppy out since one of them tried to escape. "Kalar, use your tower shield, hold 'em back if anyone wakes up. They should be more manageable now. Maybe put roll 'em up in a blanket and sit on it or something... Lynda, Rachelle to the woods! We can't let that last one escape!" and with that he sets out into the woods after the skeletons and that last sneaky dog. He will pause for a moment to get out some jerky, which might lure the little thing back... and give Voulton some energy for the chase!

Reeling from her recent change, Lynda had forgotten about the hound she summoned. Luckily for her, the hound didn't need guidance. It watched as the werewolf pup dashed off and the skeletons chased after it. It quickly decided they wouldn't catch up to it and dashed off after the werewolf pup.

Tammytharn struggled to seal up the room. Voulton, thinking the idea was doomed to fail went in. He quickly knocked every werewolf pup out cold. The room was then sealed up with the chest.

The hound caught up with the werewolf pup and tackled it to the ground. The skeletons caught up then and with the help of the hound, brought the werewolf pup back to the hamlet. Voulton quickly knocked out the escaped pup and put it in with the others. All the werewolves were sealed into the room then and the party could breath easy.
The hound went over to Lynda then and said, "You're welcome." Then it turned into gas and the gas floated back into the gem in Lynda's pocket.

"Oh my!" Lynda says. "That was certainly unexpected."

Lynda puts her amulet back on, as well as the hairpin and bracelet.

"So...now what do we do?"

With the moment of crisis past, Tammytharn immediately begins to prepare for sleep. The sooner she sleeps the sooner she can try to cure the werepups.

"I think I can only cure 5 of them. Kalar, are you able to prepare a Remove Curse for tomorrow? I don't want to wait a second day."

Then she remembers that she had planned to cast Divination and ask Rao if she should drink the Unknown Mercurial Potion tonight. She lights some incense and does so.

Since the situation is safe for the time being, Voulton takes the opportunity to pick up the leather armor and bracers, fetching the flask too if no one else seems interested. Toys and knick-knacks carry no interest to him. Heeding the council given to him before the ill-fated trip to Castle Clover, he won't put either of the things on until "someone smarter than him says its safe", but if anyone else wants to take the chance that's fine to Voulton.

EDIT: Voulton will also position himself to rest in front of the door so that nothing can escape, and encourages some kind of restraint for the werepuppies in addition to a watch schedule. Things should be okay while they're dogs, but if they turn back to kids it could get ugly. Voulton isn't sure how he feels about smackin a child around.

Tammytharn sits down to commune with Rao. Instead of her holy symbol, she feels her spell channel through the Unknown Mercurial Potion. She hears a voice, "Hello, Tammytharn. That potion acts as a conduit to me. I have no knowledge of what would happen if you consumed such a potion. Perhaps you should apply it to you holy symbol, rub it on your skin as a balm, or apply it to some other item of your choosing. It also seems reasonable to try applying a little at a time to see what happens." With that the communication is broken. Tammytharn had never felt such a strong connection to her god before. It was an experience she will never forget but hopes she can repeat it.

The party gathers in or near the mostly intact house with the werewolf children inside. They decide to sleep there for the night but take their time getting ready to sleep. Most of them give the large locked chest a good look over, but none of them see anything that would help open the chest.

While all that stuff was happening, Rachelle has decided that she'd use her newfound height to get up on one of the surviving houses and see if she could find a way back.

Whether or not she's successful in that, she climbs down after most of the werewolf kid nonsense had finished up. She takes a guarding position over them, and begins to wonder where they would even end up, now that everyone else in their families had perished in a ball of fire.

While on this train of thought, Rachelle latches onto a particularly worrisome idea, and decides to voice it to the rest of the party:

"If we've gone into the past and killed the first werewolf, how could Lady Sephora give us the task to kill the first werewolf? To her, it would have already been dead before she ever met us, right?"

Had the party been duped into doing a task that, by design, would prevent them from getting a reward?

"Unfortunately, no, I am not yet powerful enough to cast that spell."

While they sleep, Kalar orders his skeletons to stand guard. He also orders Bill to watch the house with the were-pups to make sure none escape.

"Then I will save curing the baby for the next day. It should be easiest to manage" and she returns her concentration to her Divination spell

The night past uneventfully. There was a heavy down pour and everyone ended up huddling into the house. The pups woke up during the night and the barks made it a bit hard to sleep. At one point the baby pup squeezed through a crack in the rotted door but the skeletons and the person on watch had only to yell and it quickly ran back into the room and which point Kalar's tower shield was used to block the hole. Everyone woke the next day fully rested with plans to head back to the portal Rachelle spotted with her big sized search last night. Lynda, Tammytharn, and Kalar all thought hard about the things that had happened to them, while Voulton wondered what Rachelle thought of him.

While Tammytharn deals with the puppies, Kalar outside to where the bodies still are. He calls Bill to himself, making sure that the zombicore is following him.

Upon reaching the body of the ur-wolf, Kalar holds out his holy symbol, channeling energy through it. He then releases the energy into the body.

"Right. First question. Who are the people within this hamlet?"

Tammytharn will start with the 3 Remove Curse spells, saving the 2 Break Enchantment spells for last. She will start with the second smallest child, and work up to the biggest, saving the baby for tomorrow

The baby was crying. The party opened the door to see the children back in human form. They had put on their tattered clothes and huddled in the corner like before.
Tammytharn tried both remove curse and break enchantment. She could tell the spells weren't working though. She thought about possibly casting each of her prepared spells anyways to test each of the children separately but wanted to think about it first.

Kalar casts speak with dead. At first it seems as though the werewolf had resisted the attempt, but then Kalar began to hear murmurs. The murmurs grew until it was as if Kalar was in a crowd room. Then a voice cut through, "Kalar, I am Truxdul Lairraire, an agent of Dispater. The one known as Tammytharn has a silvery flask in her possession. Do whatever you can to get that flask before she uses it." And then the voices stopped.Kalar looked around and saw that the others were still in the house, it was likely that no one else heard what he had just heard.

Most interesting...

Kalar looks around, then heads for somewhere he won't be heard. He gets incense from his pack and lights it. He then creates a circle in the dirt and sits within it. His mind focused, Kalar begins chanting while pouring divine energy into his holy symbol. When he's ready, he asks:

"My liege, what is the connection between Tammytharn's silvery potion and the silver growing on my chest?"
