"Galse." says the toughest guy in the room, keeping himself between the stranger and the food.[/i]

There had been so many people in the group. Most of the party didn't really know each other. They were all hired separately and banded together because traveling in a group was safer than traveling alone, especially through a desert.
They had only seen a handful of other people their whole trip. The farm house had surprised everyone when they found it, but once they saw the magical properties of the plants growing there, everything became clear.
Despite not seeing many others, most of the party decided not to mingle. It may have been their individual personalities. It may have been their general distrust. Who's to say. But one thing was clear, that large group was gone.
The four stood in the room, introducing themselves. Every so often they glanced over at Ardan's body. He had useful things on his person when he died. For various reasons, no one wanted to be the first that went and claimed something from the fresh corpse of their comrade.

Getting up from meditating and preparing spells, Kalar notices that poor Ardan has perished. Ah well, such is life on the road, so Kalar doesn't let it bother him all that much.
He heads over to the body and takes whatever he can find that is still useful. The halberd he leaves, as he has no need for such a weapon.
Really? Really, MasterK? After all Arden's been through he dies from a trap? What's Kalar going to do without a meat shield now?
Well, on a positive note, it'll make for yet another interesting drawing. Truth be told, I think all of the drawings I've made (only one of which I've finished coloring and posted) involve Arden being picked on, heh.

Silas regards Kalar picking over Arden's corpse for a while, and then swallows the last bite of his breakfast, and remarks:
"The kid was useful. We should thank him."
Silas does not actually thank Arden's corpse, nor does he acknowledge Lynda. He walks to the door that Arden had previously indicated as having "cat people" behind it and opens it and looks inside.

Silas sees the cat people gathered around the fireplace. He sees the chest against the wall. He also sees one of the cat people turn towards him and snarl.
"what are you doing here? Leave at once!"

"Sorry to intrude, but may I ask who you are, and what this place is?" Silas asks as politely as possible.
If the reply is as hostile as their greeting, he will immediately retreat and close the door. If the answer delivered in a bit more tolerant of a tone, he will stick around for more questions.

Kalar follows Silas, not entirely trusting the man to do what's best for the party.
He sees Silas talking to the cat people, and decides to let Silas take the lead. Should things turn sour though, he'll step in and try to use his diplomatic ability to soothe things over.

The snarling cat person stands
"This is the territory of The Lion, Richard Clover and we are his subjects. You do not belong here. Leave now and you shall be spared."
At that, the other three cat people turn and look Silas' way. Two of them silently arm themselves with iron claws.

"Very well, it shall be as you wish, I would not wish to go against the wishes of our host." Kalar says as diplomatically as possible.
With that, he grabs Silas by the collar, pulls him away, and shuts the door.

Silas brushes Kalar's hand off his shoulder absently, and says:
"Didn't the kid say those cat people were non-hostile? They certainly changed their tune quickly."

"Yes, but as you saw, the kid was not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer."
That said, Kalar heads back to Galse and company to discuss the next move.

The gnome woke up.
He saw Lynda leave the room, walking past what seemed to be Yauntor's corpse. Thistlewhistle the gnome got up to see where Lynda was going when he noticed he was in a castle. His unease past quickly and he gather his things. He entered the great mirrored hall to see Lynda conversing with a few others in his once large party. Everything seemed ok for now though, besides Yauntor over there.
Yauntor was tied up and out cold. Thistlewhistle could tell that Yauntor wasn't dead though and wondered if the others had thought he was. Thistlewhistle stood in the hallway between the foyer and the mirrored hall deciding what to do.

Back in the room, Kalar discusses tacticts with the rest.
"Right, there's only the four of us left, so I suggest we be smarter than poor Ardan over there."
He turns to Linda and says, "My dear, seeing as you have a bow ready, I believe you should lead. Of course, I shall be right behind you. Should anything jump up at us, shoot it. If it comes too close, I'll intervene and hold it off."
He turns to the others and says, "I also suggest that Silas follow behind the two of us, with Galse bringing up the rear. That way, we'll be able to protect our spellcaster, as we'll definitely be needing his powers later."
He then moves to speak with Galse, and under his breath, whispers to Galse,
"I'm trusting you to bring up the rear. Mostly because you have our supplies, and it's important to keep those safe. But also, I want you to keep an eye on the sorcerer, the bastard gives me the creeps. If he makes a move against Linda or myself, hit him in the head."

Galse just gives Kalar a look, but there's something in those squinty eyes that says "I've got your back.". It's good tactics, and Galse was already planning to bring any combat to an end with a lovetap to the back of the head anyway.[/i]

Silas raises no objection to Kalar's plan. He likes the idea of Kalar taking the lead, and doesn't mind standing safely between Lynda and Galse
Silas ignores the others for a moment. He absently closes and re-opens the door to the room the just slept in. Each time he opens it, he will look inside and see if anything has changed. He will continue doing this until something interrupts him, or the party moves off, in which case, he will go with them, in proper formation
EDIT: I guess Silas wasn't paying that mutch attention to Kalar's plan, in regards to who leads. He assumed that since Kalar was making the plan, Kalar was leading
